The poles helped with our confidence when approaching the edge!
Bring lots of water. Take as many rests as you need as the air is thin. There is no cellphone reception so tell someone when you are leaving, where you are going and when you plan to be back and then check in with them when you're enjoying your well deserved campfire cocktail to tell them you are safe.
Safe on the water - Safe on the trails! Be wise, be prepared.
