      Is he fuck as right. What a cretin you are. We've taken our country back and are no longer paying £25 billion of British taxpayers money to a corrupt Brussels. every year.
      Over the last decade the UK population increased by 6 million, that's a 10% rise and its unsustainable. Most of those
      migrants flooded into the UK from Eastern Europe. Now do me a favour and f off!

      lorraine lane Did Heseltine mess up Westland ? Well I've checked it out, and I still question your conclusion . The loss of Westland to Sikorsky under Thatchers orders, and dirty tricks to undermine Heseltine and the use of Leon Britton, meant the loss of the U.K's helicopter design team. Design teams do not grow on trees. That was around 1986 I believe. The Royal Aeronautical Society refer to the "rebirth" of the U.K. helicopter industry for over 30 years, with a major investment this year.
      Never was interested in those whirly things relying on the "Jesus" bolt.....but this development looks interesting, and demonstrates Heseltine has integrity.

I call that a mistake.

      @Bessie Hillum Blair brought peace to Northern Ireland after years of 'The troubles' All the Tories did in Northern Ireland was to send in the British army to shoot people( Bloody Sunday). The only reason Thatcher sent forces to the Falkland Islands was so she could wrap herself in the flag to regain her fading popularity, with help from the Murdoch press in order to win the next general election! The subsequent loss of life on both sides could have been avoided by a negotiated settlement with Argentina brokered through the UN, with help from her friend President Reagan who could have put financial pressure on Argentina, which was very dependant on the USA at that time.

      @johnhooper7040 2 роки тому

      @Bessie Hillum As it happens I don't agree with the events you mention and view them as a rather silly waste of time! You are right that John Major encouraged a dialogue with the IRA but as leader of the Conservative AND UNIONIST party he had to keep this matter secret to avoid upsetting the Northern Ireland unionists and some of the more reactionary members of his own party. Tony Blair was able to make the negotiations public and with some help from president Clinton and the hard work of Mo Mowlam secured the Good Friday agreement and an end to 'the Troubles'. It is only now following a hard Brexit and the Unionists being such sore losers when Sinn Fein won a majority in the recent elections that the peace achieved by the Good Friday agreement is threatened. Hopefully there will soon be a border poll and Ireland will be reunited and we can lose the annoying Ulster protestants for good! You made a rather telling typo in your reply, The Socialists, when I think you meant Argentinians could not be negotiated with! I don't think we ever did have any serious negotiations with Argentina, which is why, in frustration, the Military junta ordered the invasion. When one considers the history of Britain and Argentina, this matter should have been settled long ago. From the mid 19th to mid 20th century Britain had major investments in Argentina. Railways, huge estates where beef cattle were raised, meat processing plants etc. All to produce and transport cheap imported meat to feed British workers The control British companies had over the Argentine economy caused great resentment which resulted in nationalisation of British assets by the government of Juan Perron in the 1940s. In the past Britain needed the Falkland Islands as a base for the Royal Navy to protect shipping routes in the south Atlantic, hence the battle of the Falklands in 1914. Regardless of their status the islands were becoming an unnecessary cost to the British government with the reduction in the Royal Navy's worldwide role and previous governments had started to run down the protection the islands received. The Falklands are an imperial relic, which either be given their independence or negotiated away with a deal with Argentina. As it happens demand for the fish in the waters around the Falkland islands, particularly from East Asian countries means that they are now quite wealthy and could succeed as an independent nation state without subsidy anymore from Britain.

      Is Boris Johnson thick and just got to where he is through contacts at Eton, Bullingdon Club etc, or is he an evil liar? On the same TV show that everybody made a fuss because he said Germany never used chemical weapons in wars, nobody said anything when on the same TV show he also said that there wasn't a vote on the 2nd war against Iraq, when more Conservative Party MPs voted yes to it than other Parties. Did he genuinely not know what his own party spoke and voted in favour of, or did he say the other stupid comment as an evil plan to get everybody to make a fuss, so they would watch to hear his lie about there not being a vote on the 2nd war on Iraq, hoping all most people remember about politics is last Tory propaganda headline they read? Either way, if he's stupid or an evil liar, why should anybody trust him in politics? I'm hoping he's just stupid, as it would be dangerous to have such an evil person with power.

      I doubt that Lord Hesseltine has received any money from the EU. Unlike the Russian 'dirty money' which we are now learning was used to bankroll the leave campaign because Putin wanted to weaken the EU by Britain's departure! It is the loss of Russian influence over the nations of east and Central Europe, now all part of the EU, influence/control which dated back to the Tsarist Russian empire and continued under the USSR post 1945 which irks Putin most. That is why he is so upset by the possibility of Ukraine and some of the other small states, like Moldova, on Russia's western border also joining the EU and slipping out of Russia's sphere of influence too.

      The London labor party is out of touch with the rest of the country. It is going to be interesting to see what happens to London if the banks decide to relocate to another city in an EU country. Perhaps they will experience something like the 1980's in the north of England?

      They used to rely on a good turn out in Scotland as well but that has gone to the SNP I guess decades of failing the people they are supposed to represent is finally coming home to roost. If they had an election today many of the labor voters in the north would vote UKIP.

      However it was Boris who decided he was more interested in becoming Prime Minister, and used the referendum campaign as his bid for power. Hesletines damming criticism 3 years ago says it all. Let's see what Boris has to say in the Crown Court where he faces criminal charges of Misconduct in Public Office.
