Shimbashi was the first place I stayed in Japan. I absolutely love it. Close to the palace, so much restaurants, really cool shops under the train tracks, walking distance to Ginza district, I also noticed prices were a lot cheaper in Shimbashi. Overall would love to stay there again. I also picked up a magazine about the yamanote line when I arrived at Tokyo station. I saw info about tea shops and interesting vendors at Nippori. I really enjoy that area too. I will have to try the sake next time.

The music at Nishi-Nippori was beautiful! 11:19 (And perfectly placed after the sponsorship part XD). I wonder what it's called and if it can just be looked up and listened to. Nezu Shrine was also very lovely. The gardens in Komagome were also very beautiful! Loved the video!! Thank you for your hard work!!
Takanawa Gateway Station is going to be very busy in the future, all the construction you see around is part of the reason why they built the station in the first place. There is a massive redevelopment going around the station that will be very lively in the future
On my last trip to Tokyo, we stayed at a hotel in Ikebukuro, and I have to say, it quickly became one of our favorite neighborhoods in Tokyo! Your coverage here gets it right. Sunshine City is a great place to walk around and shop, the neighborhood has a little bit of everything, and it's great for getting around. I got the nostalgia tingles during that segment of the video!
Seldom have I been more jealous of someone not being handicapped (as in, being able to take a walk and taking a train without asking some bloke to heave your wheelchair on and off said train). Keep it up, Chris. Thanks for showing us around.

I'm gonna sing the praises of Takanawa Gateway Station: It's the closest Yamanote stop to Sengakuji , resting place of the 47 Ronin! On top of that, on your way to Sengakuji, there's a coffee shop called Forest Stand Sengakuji that does lovely coffee!
This is probably one of my favourite videos of you, Chris! (Which says a lot since all of your videos are great!) A fun, and interesting concept about a well-known train line combined with great shots, nice editing and the right amount of humour makes for an enjoyable and relaxing video, which is also very useful if you're planning to visit Tokyo!

Chris I said this about the video with you and Pete going up to Hokaido getting the mug fixed, but this is my new best video that you've ever released. It is SO well edited and so many unique little things here and there. Can't wait for that inevitable proper film of yours to release
I loved seeing all of the stations on the yamanote line in Tokyo. Thanks for sharing the great spots Chris. It was a trip down memory lane from my trip in March 2024 ❤🥲
It makes me happy to think that there are foreigners who love Japan like you do. Recently, a foreigner called Thomas Lockly did something very serious and quickly became a famous foreigner in Japan, and Japanese people reacted to his many comments about Japan and wrote two songs called Yasuke isn't to blame and The sin of Thomas Lockly. So when I see someone like you who loves Japan, I feel relieved from the bottom of my heart. I feel relieved and moved from the bottom of my heart when I see someone like you who loves Japan.
Great video, it is incredibly useful to get the idea of this long metro line. For us, as visitors is of great help, in order to understand this enormous city and the richness of it in every sense.
I’m on vacation in Japan right now and that Suica Penguin is almost a god. He determines where you go and what you eat and buy. Surprised nobody talks about him he’s just a little guy.
I feel like Chris is pioneering a sort of anti-sponsorship program. Wonder Shot coffee failed to pay the sponsorship/extortion money, so Chris trashes their product repeatedly.
I like this video one year ago i come to nishin nippori during weekend and suprised by the long queue line. Chris able to walk there peacefully is nice
20:30 I went to Japan for the first time in 2018 and when I look back at pictures I took of that building I now call it "The upside down Playstation 5 building"

The Japan video I have always dreamed* of! Thank you!!
*if he featured all the station stamps. The stamps, Chris 😭 but still, thanks
Sharla is queen of the stamps, bring her on as an expert advisor if you station hop any more
3:14 Who else was expecting Chris to get the Abroad In Japan Book 😂
Great video! One of your better ones, great in terms of both pacing and content, also you feel genuine and exciting as a presenter! Thanks a lot)
Chris, thanks for the kindness you showed my wife and I when we randomly encountered you in Tokyo. Not all Japan UA-camrs are psychopaths. I think everyone knows exactly to whom I'm referring. 🗼📷
Who are you referring to? 😂
Yeah drop the tea
Also wanting to know?
It's PremierTwo, isn't it..... I joke. :D
We need to bump this up on the algorithm guys. If this video does extremely well it will compel Chris to make another at some point, and we all know we're here to help him out.
Thanks for all the work you put in making these videos!
Cheers! And a big thank you for watching!
Nezu shrine is one of my favourite little places in tokyo! i discovered it last year and go back to visit every time!
Chris I don't know how you do it, but with each new video, you make me want visit Japan even more
Do it, you won't regret it. I just went for my third time, and I am already thinking about my next trip there.
@@MrZanderson he's also making me wanna move there and I've never even been before
It's crazy that this kind of quality content is free! Love your videos and just to say thank you for all your work I bought your book - it's great!
I got the nostalgia tingles during that segment of the video!
this might be my favourite Abroad in Japan video, the music, the humour, the sense of adventure. Very entertaining!
Seldom have I been more jealous of someone not being handicapped (as in, being able to take a walk and taking a train without asking some bloke to heave your wheelchair on and off said train).
Keep it up, Chris. Thanks for showing us around.
Props to you for still going out and enjoying life even with it!
@@CleanCT- Thank you.
Three times videos in a short period. Dave’s trying to beat the UA-cam algorithm. I’ll play that game.
Dawg who is Dave 😂

Thank you for the tour guide around different stations! The video editing is great as always. So many cool places to see and delicious food!
22:47 Going to Japan in July and while my trip won't include Shibuya, your Tatsuro Yamashita cassette has got me set to scour all of north Japan for his tapes!!!
this has been such an amazing wholesome video Chris, absolute highlight for me! so many vibes, i reall appreciate the idea of visiting all these stations, having been to many of them it feels so relatable and enjoyable.
keep up the great work
I'm gonna sing the praises of Takanawa Gateway Station: It's the closest Yamanote stop to Sengakuji , resting place of the 47 Ronin! On top of that, on your way to Sengakuji, there's a coffee shop called Forest Stand Sengakuji that does lovely coffee!
Genuinely awesome vid, it's making me want to visit japan again
Congrats on 3 mil subs! I really enjoyed the energy of seeing all the stations.
Chris this has to be one of your coolest videos in Tokyo tbh, soo fun and with that sense of adventure
Enjoyed this video, Chris! 😊
東京には沢山の魅力があるからぜひ訪れてほしい。
Love this video idea, so unique. This video is so cozy, thank you :)
I've been watching all your videos before my trip to Japan in a few weeks. This is some of the most thoughtful and well put together content on UA-cam.
i've actually been to most of the stations mentioned here! this was such a great video to go down into my own memory lane.
3:00 NOW I KNOW where all the Isekai animes begin. Truck-kun lives in Jimbucho.
That festival book is the stepping point for a potential new series for you, Chris! Of course, with the needed permissions if allowed.
Chris I said this about the video with you and Pete going up to Hokaido getting the mug fixed, but this is my new best video that you've ever released. It is SO well edited and so many unique little things here and there. Can't wait for that inevitable proper film of yours to release
This is one of the most important videos you have done.
Valuable neighborhood information and very well done.
Best video ever!!!! I’m a ALT and I ride from Aki to Ike every day now I have something to look forward to at Nishi nippori
Really fun video! Thanks Chris!
Great video, thank you! Your n1 spot is awesome - visited it during the bloom season, it was beautiful. And full of locals taking pictures))))
Great video, it is incredibly useful to get the idea of this long metro line. For us, as visitors is of great help, in order to understand this enormous city and the richness of it in every sense.
Enjoying your videos, keep them coming!
I’m on vacation in Japan right now and that Suica Penguin is almost a god. He determines where you go and what you eat and buy. Surprised nobody talks about him he’s just a little guy.
🐧👍
I feel like Chris is pioneering a sort of anti-sponsorship program. Wonder Shot coffee failed to pay the sponsorship/extortion money, so Chris trashes their product repeatedly.
I like this video one year ago i come to nishin nippori during weekend and suprised by the long queue line. Chris able to walk there peacefully is nice
Hope you are safe from the Earthquake!!
All good in Tokyo, albeit the terrifying phone alarm nearly threw me off my seat

20:30 I went to Japan for the first time in 2018 and when I look back at pictures I took of that building I now call it "The upside down Playstation 5 building"
Not me going "Maram Faruzan" at the billboard near Akihabara 😂
I love your videos Chris! They never fail to make me smile, and I always feel like I've learnt something new by the end. I've been planning my trip to Japan with a friend for some years now (damn Covid) and have added few spots from this video to my map of places I want to go.
A great tour Chris you've given me some more ideas for the next time I'm in Tokyo ...
Love your channel so much man!🗾👹🏯❤
Looking forward to the book review on weird Japanese festivals!
