Earthwise sweeper: the bag keeps falling off, It takes 3-4 passes over the same spot to really pick up well enough. It has a hard time with small leaves...just pushes them into the grass. Grass needs to be cut pretty short to keep from dragging on the pickup combs. Leaves have to be pretty dry for the combs to pickup. Also, to pick up well enough, the setting has to be set low, which causes dragging and more labor/strain to pickup and push. I tried picking up small pinecones...the sweeper kept jamming on them. The catch basket has a part that kept detaching and I had to reattach over and over again. Assembling the thing took a long time since the design is more to be able to stuff it in a box rather than for ease of assembly, and the instructions were lousy. This device was relatively cheap @ $130, but I would have gladly paid more for a device that didn't have so many issues.
I know these are intended for leaves and grass as shown, but are these sweepers able to comb up larger stuff? I've never seen anyone test it on aeration cores and I'm looking for a fast way to pick cores up. I'd assume people would also want to pick up things like acorns, small rocks, etc. but I've never seen one of these sweepers tested on these kinds of other materials.
I have a Gardena on order after reading the good reviews. I already have the Earthwise (see my comments) unfortunately; I can't face using that thing again.

So why is this called best in 2024 when it was published 2 years ago, which would be mid 2022? Did you have a Time Machine to check future sweepers?

You should have tried the Gardena, easily the best i've tried.
