i know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Gianni Isaac i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have a 74 C3. It will be my first restoration I have done. I look forward to the challenge. I thank you for making a video series on your 74! It will guide me along my journey. You gained a sub!
Thank you for the vids. I’m a recent c3 owner. Just wish you would show how the panels were removed not jut before and after. Still the vids have tons of information and has educated me plenty. I love your channel.
Another great job. Love to see your systematic approach to sorting all the issues. The end results always impress. Looking forward to you taking us out in the completed car. Good news that you have some more cars to show us and you are busy. Cheers
Hey Ben, thanks so much for your videos! I'm looking into getting a C3 myself, and I know nothing about cars, so your videos are amazing for someone trying to get into the hobby. Thanks again!
My dream in my whole life is to own a corvette.I am disabled and have diabetes so going back to work isn't in my future..I dont know how but I am going to own a Corvette... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CorvetteBen my favorite local texan mechanic youtuber you seem to be a man of many hats I would really love to see you pick up a 2-3rd gen firebird project please
Ben love the c3 videos, discovered you watching the Caddy video series. Like the work ethic using good used parts instead of brand new unless no other option for a daily driver. Thinking about getting my own daily driver c3 so I've subscribed.
In my 96 dakota I found a 9mm bullet under the passenger side seat belt with Budweiser cans a news paper and a scratch ticket from 2004. In my 92 dakota I found a huge knife and some tools my second 96 had two condoms that expired in 2005 and some LEGO people.
oh the things we find under the carpet.. i found about .75 in change, 6 heroin needles . and other junk, the car 68 Chevy Impala. the needles were from the previous owner who was a drug runner the car said 327 on the side lable but under the hood was 350 souped up holly 4 barrel carb, edlebrock intake
Love the car stock, they don't go through all that research & engineering so bubba can do his dumb ass mechanicals on it, leave your car stock & it's worth more....i agree with you Ben, this car drives smooth & looks good inside & out side as well.
Ben, the next time you work on a column, go over how the key-in-ignition buzzer works. I think I forgot to put a small piece back in when I replaced my wheel and the buzzer doesnt work. Thanks!
I have an 85 Camaro, so the column should be the same and although its not a "buzzer", its more of a flute sound. I still hear the sound when I have the headlights on and the key off but not with key in.
cant wait for the gymkata, when a firebird had that setup with the last of the 400's in 79 it was a force to be reckoned with, should be interesting to see what the chevolet version is like as out of all the 350 corvettes, the L82 seems to be the one with the most promise outside of the 4th gen models, and the best you can get out of the 3rd generation, outside of the 454 convertible that Zora Antov Duntov took with him as his retirement present in 1974 that is plus the 327, the decendant of the V8 that made the corvette what it was, was a 68 only option sadly, despite that being what engine builder Bizzarini, the guy who made ferrari what it was, the chosen engine to go behind his supercars as an F you to him. as even to this day theirs still people who would take a 327 over a 383 stroker or a 396, and say they perform just as well as those without any of the problems that come with those non hydralic cammed engines. hell I wonder if theirs any cheap way to get a 327 really, like some cheap ass 61 chevy truck everyones forgotten about or something and stuff it into one of these inexpensive vette's then stick on a big block suspension and make a home made ZR1
Love the vids Ben, keep up he good work. Also I have a question about my vette. It’s an 85 4+3 car and I just got it running after 12 years, but the freeze plug behind the flywheel is leaking, what do you think is the best way to get to it? Thought about pulling the engine just to be done with it and addressing some other issues...
Brock Delaney:. Yes, you can pull the engine out, however it would be much easier to remove the transmission and clutch. Then you need to remove the flywheel and you'll get access to removal and installation of the freeze plugs. Use Lock tight thread fastener when you put the bolts into the flywheel and torque them to 60-70 ft/lbs.
My friend has a C3 with a stuck hood. The driver side release and I can hear movement when the latch is pull. Is there a trick to release right side with only left side is open?
How can people do such stupid things... 3 bolts in something that works on making contact.. 😂 😂 😂 unbelievable... Ben keep on making them... I am not a corvette guy but I like the wrenching stuff.. 😎👍
Hey Ben I have a 76 Corvette that I want to change the steering wheel in. I hate the Vega wheel. Mine is beat to heck by previous owners. I am having troubles finding the parts to change it. The kits that are being sold that manufacturer only makes a few a year. Any ideas? I'd put another Vega wheel back in if I could find a nice black one. I have the tilt and telescopic wheel. I have to change the turning signal switch so this would be a perfect time to do it. Any suggestions?
All you need is a steering column hub and bell hub cover from a 1969-1975 Column (they are like an inch longer, a 69-75 steering wheel and horn button. Other than that they will all bolt together the same. I have a hub and wheel I can sell you to get you started.
Ben, this is way totally off subject re:this Vette. I wanted to sudjest a project for you . I just finished the video on the 76 LTD wagon one of the videos had a 64 buick skylark in it. I was thinking that maybe you could find a car like that and do some resto work on one. Just a thought. Yes,the faux wood steering wheel looks good.
I like your work and the videos are great. on this one I have one criticism, the "wood wheel" is... well...inappropriate. rewrap the original wheel in gray leather. The wood is jarring
Have you come across rusted floor pan issues? Do you have a video on R&R floor pans or procedures on cutting and welding them? Not sure where to look. One guy from you tube did a show & tell. Workmanship sloppy, no explanation. Not sure I'd want to know from him. How much would something like that go for in a body shop? From Texas, too.
I also like finding stuff in cars. One time we found so rolling papers and a receipt from the man s probation office
I found $80 in the armrest of my dad's '67 Camaro after we brought it home. he kept it lol
Ben..i see your subs are growing quite a bit..deservedly so...your resurrection of these great Vettes is awesome..keep up the good..hard..work..
iamrichrocker definitely a good comment!

@Gianni Isaac it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
Great job! Keep the C3 videos coming. I know you have other projects, but seeing you work on C3's gives me confidence to work on mine! Thanks a ton!
Love your channel Ben and look for your new videos every time I go to utube. Thanks!
Like the attention to detail , you put into your work
Love what you do Ben! Keep it up

As soon as I see the notification, I click on it! Keep it going Ben! You are doing an amazing job!!!! Love how that c3 is turning out.
Thank you for the vids. I’m a recent c3 owner. Just wish you would show how the panels were removed not jut before and after. Still the vids have tons of information and has educated me plenty. I love your channel.

Nice work, that white looks so good
The car is coming along nice. Reminded me I need to fix the horn on my '77 once the weather warms up. Thanks
Loverly job. Looking forward to the next.
Looks like you got quite a good deal on that Vette! Positive surprises everywhere.
Hey Ben, thanks so much for your videos! I'm looking into getting a C3 myself, and I know nothing about cars, so your videos are amazing for someone trying to get into the hobby. Thanks again!
I hope you got 1. They are going to be a major value in the future

Looks great.
Looking good! Nice job
Great video! Thanks.
Looking real good!
Looking Good.
Nice choice of music. I thought I was the only one who listens to Frank Sinatra when I wrench.
Good stuff ,,, Regards J

Man, I've never found a Lego guy!! Jealous!
Let the damn chickens in!
Discovered 3 Zeppelin cassettes and a racing slip when I removed the seats out of my '75.
Not a corvette guy. But interesting to see all come together! Looks good!
Only dogs allowed, no pollos allowed! That cracked me up!

More Parts Cars? You have my attention!
4more!
I love that one steering! Would you know if they make those for a C4 as well?

Those changed throughout the years. What year do you have? in this 79 at least the buzzer is a little electronic box by the fuse panel.
I have an 85 Camaro, so the column should be the same and although its not a "buzzer", its more of a flute sound. I still hear the sound when I have the headlights on and the key off but not with key in.

I agree with Paul, Take the trans out, it will take much less time, and you can access the freeze plugs from there.
I'm thinking this year dash would be good for my '97 Camaro. Now that would be different! #projectoddball
Is that Dino Spumoni I hear in the background?!?! I hope it is 😂.

Hey have you tried Mr. Clean magic erasers for the interior? I use them all the time, they work great for brightening up light interior.
I do and I LOVE them. I once cleaned an entire 1982 Corvette's paint job using just those.
Tear the paper off those spray die cans. Its in sims paint cans. Good die. Thats what I use. Great videos.
I hate the location of the battery. It’s a pain to shimmy it in and get it connected.
Is that Sinatra you’re playing?

It is all about budget! I would love to do a C2 corvette, BUT I don't have the funds to have one on the channel!
I like your work and the videos are great. on this one I have one criticism, the "wood wheel" is... well...inappropriate. rewrap the original wheel in gray leather. The wood is jarring
It's all about opinion. The wood wheel is easily replaced by the next owner. That wheel came with the car as an extra

Very informative!
Do you sell the cars you rebuild?
Yes, this one will be for sale when I am done with it
My 79 for sale new motor etc in calif
Do you ever find the build sheet on any of these projects? Just wondering...
Not usually
How does the battery vent out of the compartment?
It don't. 70's baby!
