About the sample from OG!, I think he was there at the match. He has an episode of HTBAR featuring Darby Allin released around the time of the fight and around the time of the album's release.
Yes- to elaborate, Peggy recorded a promo supporting Allen where he does the usual pro-wrestling shtick of “my boy’s gonna kick your ass” intimidating Allen’s opponent. They rolled the promo live on AEW and the sample is the commentators are reacting to the promo
I think the "baby one more time" interpolation on "THOT'S PRAYER!" could be a nod to his album "the ghost~pop tape" either for that albums overall use of pop hits or the "give me a siiiiiggggnnnn" part at the end of the track "Ballad of A Poor Man" of that record.
Just a note about the Getz/Bonfa sample on Dikembe!- this is the same sample Dilla flipped for The Pharcyde’s Runnin. Sort of like how he flipped the Wendy Rene sample on Exmilitary, this is Peggy doing a classic and widely recognizable sample “his way”
Your presentation and breakdown of the samples are very entertaining and easy to follow. On theme of Peggy, would love a ‘Scaring the hoes’ sample video. Keep up the great work bro.
it was pretty hard to find the exact origin so apologies if im wrong, but I believe "You think you know me" comes from Edge's first theme song "You Think You Know Me (Edge)", and was later added on right before the chorus of "Metalingus".
The AEW OG! sample of Excalibur(commentator) saying JPEGMafia was because a video was played of Peggy himself cutting a promo for Darby Allin. ua-cam.com/video/Zufi4ONQTaM/v-deo.html
For THOT'S PRAYERS! at 6:03, not only has Peggy said many times that he is a big fan of Britney Spears, but it's also theorized that he was correlating his label forcing him to rush out an incomplete version of LP! (the online version) with Britney's label ruining her mental well-being with forceful music contracts that give her close to no artistic liberties
about sampling Memphis rap i think it sounds so good to sample because original Memphis rap artists sampled each other hooks making their choruses and it became signature sound of a lot Memphis rap tracks:) its just theory why it sounds so good to u, but very possible. also when spoken line is so hypnotic its so beautiful for mind
imo the online version is missing a lot of the best tracks and even if it wasn't, there's really no major changes in samples besides some of them being gone from online

His "you think you know me" is actually from the beginning of Metallingus which is Edge's theme song
