Didn't take long for Patriot's home game attendance to dip. I suspect the same will happen for the Bruins, then we'll see some real change.

The bigger problem appears to be that the ship is loaded with 8-year guys who got their golden parachutes. Did they show up ready to play? Will they next year? If this group of corpse (sic) does not improve this year and next, this franchise will either have to ride a really rough patch or start shedding. What are the chances that they will not only work on conditioning over the next few summers but also work to improve their game? (It's not good enough; their game is goo right now.) Reminder: Larry Bird used to work on things (eg so he could change it up and go left-handed) so that he wasn't as predictable. Are they professional gamers or jobbers? If the latter, then it's going to be a long losing ride with them as they cash in. They're pretty much sunk in terms of cap space next year, as well, and into 2026. They have 7 Non-Entry-Level deals coming up; one is Marchand. Is simply adding a few less experienced guys and/or a decent journeyman going to solve this lot? 🤔

Next time Kastelic is on the ice with the Lilligren, I'm sure he will drop the gloves again and settle it. If Kastelic is unavailable next Tuesday when they play again, Zadorov or Frederic will have a little talk with Lilligren. That said, this team needs a significant shuffle and to start looking toward 2026-27 as it will take at least a season and a half to become a serious playoff team again.
As a Habs fan I can tell you a rebuild takes more than 2 seasons if you have a good GM. I think Sabre fans would lengthen the timeline.
Someone needs to replace the key leaders lost over the few years - Marchand is no longer Marchand.
@@oldhab7890 I understand, but the Bruins did it in 2015-16, so there's hope. Sweeney certainly doesn't need to be involved, but it needs to be done so the team isn't like the Canadiens or worse, the Sabres. At least the Canadiens look to finally be moving in the right direction.
Ultimate responsibility lies with Sweeney.
He had years to fill the gap knowing the likes of Chara, Krejci and Bergeron were leaving.
And he paid out 100's of millions to players who were past their prime
and a prima donna goalie who has yet to prove himself in the playoffs.
Time for rebuild, I don't see the season being saved at this point.
Gents, although I understand and appreciate why you both are putting positive spin on this team, you both know that the Bruins product on the ice this season has been junk. I was at the game last night and these are the points I observed: 1. Pastas left leg appears to be an issue he is not skating well at all so the one and only elite scorer is down for the count. 2. there is a disconnect between Swayman and the rest of the team- they are leaving him out to dry on purpose, personally I think they just don’t like him .3. Both teams came out without any jump and even a non hockey fan knew that the team that scored first was going to win this game. Especially with how both teams have been playing this season up to this point. 4. The defense needs serious leadership and Charlie ain’t providing it. 5. Since the beginning of the season this team has displayed a team wide conditioning problem, saw lots of reactive play and hardly any proactive ( which is infuriating) Hell, I’m not totally sure Zadorov isn’t visiting the sin bin so frequently to rest. 6. Other then a small sign of life with 12 minutes to go was to little to late and ain’t that the tagline for the whole season. Finally, I am not going to go into the individual player performances because there where none to speak of. If management and ownership happen to see this comment, you are not getting a penny out of my household until you make serious changes to enter todays NHL with todays sensibilities. The old ways don’t work any more. Money has changed sports forever so if you want to win the Stanley Cup again get out of the dark ages. Yeah what's crazy too is Zadorov has probably been the best D-man on this team outside of Hampus. And he hasn't been great either

They’re going to get hammered by the Panthers. This is an uninspired and slow team. Time to trade Pasta.
WEEI is reporting today that Pasta has told the team he doesn't want to play with Marchand.
I like y'all in the same room. More chemistry and keeps Razor awake. I've said before, doing it the next day would be even better but I love the pod. That said, you really couldn't come up with answers for this slide so here's my thoughts. Long term, stronger head coach, new GM in the off season, talent overhaul duh. But you know what, I want to be entertained. I want the playoffs. Get it together to at least make the playoffs and make a go of it.
Short term:
1. Mason: Like the goal but time to take a seat Mason. You're a defenseman not a center and you're blowing it back there. Rasmus Andersson??? I know, I know. It's a stretch.
2. Assistant coach: Its gone way too long without filling Sacco's former job, need a strong assistant coach with in-game management and special teams prowess immediately. Chris Kelly can stay I guess but just be a gopher. Get him off special teams entirely.
3. In-game: when you see a goalie coughing up rebounds, get someone to shadow the shooter every single time. I can't just shout 'where's the trailer' at my tv. At least 3 times the puck was loose for the taking with no one there to tap it in. Get more disciplined about changes. Too many dangerous and clumsy change ups. The time out was too late. The 5 minute mark was the moment. Not the final minute.
4. Expedite a pre-4 nations package trade for Peddersson or Miller. Freddie, E. Lindholm, picks, anything. I don't think a trade is a magic bullet but it injects life and puts guys on notice.

Pastrnak has got to stop pretending he's superman and trying to skate through people...he can at times. But not at the blue line with no one behind him, or this year when he's moving in slow motion for some reason.

Idk why everyone jumps ship after a bad loss streak. We are 3 points out of the playoffs. We can win 25-30 out of the last 40 games and go into the playoffs desperate and hungry. Time to dig deep boys. GO BRUINSSSS
But they are just a bad team. They wont win 30 games, no chance. The roster is just bad.
They don’t have it in them to dig deep. This is the worst Bruins hockey I’ve watched in 20 years. Unlikable roster top to bottom. Shame on these guys, all the do and have ever done is bitch and moan and then choke when it matters. Done with everyone on this team and so should all fans. Embarrassing body language, attitude and effort level.
Hahahaha, win 25 to 30 of 40. Have you watched this team this year? They can't make 3 passes in a row, get a big save, hit an empty net and they give up or stop playing on the regular. It's just not a good team this year.
