Having famliy ,faith lovr and light definitely helps me overcome the unknown.
I had a radical nephrectomy like you, 3 months ago and still can not walk more than 40 meters without needing to sit and rest for 5 minutes. I am 72 years old so it's tougher. The pain was gone after about 2 weeks. By now I should be able to walk much farther without being totally out of breath. But the doctors don't have answers. Good luck with future tests. Be positive. I am trying.
Sorry to hear this, Perry. Were you in "good shape" prior to the operation? I ask because I had the exact same thing done as Declan; radical nephrectomy of the left kidney, with exact same size tumor sitting atop the adrenal gland (which was taken out also; all three got evicted; tumor, adrenal gland & kidney). I had a very quick recovery. Operation was March 16, 2023, and I was back to myself within 3 months, max. 18 months out now, it's like it never happened. We're only as good as our next checkup however, so knock on wood. I do wish you well, Sir.
Greetings from the US! I thank you for this video! I am facing this surgery soon and this has been an encouragement to me. So glad you recovered well. God bless!! Update: 7 weeks after an open radical nephrectomy and doing well. They got it!!!!!!
Was determined be stage 3 due to a thrombus in renal vein. The surgery removed all the cancer. It was in no other tissue. I will pray for your husband. My surgery was April 2023
Thank you for this video. Your story is very helpful. My sister is getting ready to have this surgery. I now have a better idea of how to support her during her experience. Many blessings.
