Adam, firstly thanks a lot for the highly informative data!) I've got a question if I may. In the final example my attention was caught by the structure of the very last sentence. Smth like (but it's highly unlikely to happen in a lot of countries). Can I hypothetically modify it into smth like: "but hardly is it probable to happen in a lot of countries"??. I'm primarily concerned with the word order. Can u clarify if possible. Thanks in advance. Hope to see ur reply:)
Hello Sir Adam can I ask a question? I don't understand why "seeing these people " can't be a subject please enlighten me. Also is "seeing these people suffer not a sentence? How come the word suffer not a verb? Please enlighten me.

"At the meeting" only? There is no subject or verb, so not a sentence. Not even a fragment, really. Just a prepositional phrase.

I think it's correct, may be you should separate the two independent clauses by putting a period after information comma after Thus.
