I'm sorry if this sparks controversy but I've been exclusively using Vlad III as my main Servant since I began playing FGO. I know people like to say he's less than ideal when compared to other units but know that I've finished every Story, Challenge and Event Quest with him as my main Servant. Of course having Tamamo and Mash as support helps too.
Everyone has their main and the right to brag about servants they like. Vlad is still good and you can feel that when compare to other servant in event like Amazoness CEO event.
@@wilhelmsarosen4735 i think the greatest point of vlad III is his NP as an Art type. While it doesn't affect too much, 20% extra np charge for arts chains sometimes really help you.

Plus 25 4 star servants. A third of which are from events. Although this isn’t much in comparison to a whale, it shows just how far a F2P player can make it with enough dedication. If you just wanna play the story/event stories with whatever you have, just do what you want. Some 5 stars will come around eventually. This is hilarious to me because I’m a FTP in NA thinking I’m hot stuff with a lucky Ishtar and Merlin pull that I’ve been saving for for months and then I watch JP whales making top tier content with their 5*s .. lmaoo
So I guess I have better luck than I thought,,, I'm f2p and a new-ish player (I started during prisma illya event rerun) and I have 4/5 stars in almost all classes, but no support servants lol I thank Kama and the Archer of Shinjuku for getting spooked a lot in their banners
HAH?!!! I'm a f2p and I would kill to get merlin or ishtar. I spent over 300 SQ in ten 10x summons and I got nothing! The current banner is the first time i got a 5 star CE, and only because it was free.
If it's any consolation, as a f2p, I only got my first SSR one month after starting the game (Ishtar, amusingly enough). Got three more in as many months since then (though to be fair, one of them involved selling my soul and paying for the GSSR banner). So yeah, one needs patience, but things should eventually turn around.
Currently I don't have any 5 star servants and only good servant was herc at lvl60 cause can't find that annoying heart of the demon god, so what I mean was I can't understand the comments here.
I’ve never gotten Merlin, no matter how much I sank into the rolls, even when I was f2p I never got him...at least I finally got fox lady and waver though....
F2P 25 total logins, and I just got my most wanted waifu(Tamamo no Mae) the day before in the 1st pull and got her 2nd copy on the 3rd, so I'm incredibly happy and satisfied. LOL. Will save for summer Tamamo and other Tamamo versions. Tamamo is life, Tamamo is love.
Most luck I've had (I'm a F2P) was pulling for the Ishtar banner for 3 SQ and getting her first pull. I promptly proceeded to avoid any other luck based game like the plague after that
Define better. After playing for so long, a skadi is definitely better in the long run due to them making farming easier especially when you need to load a party with ces for an event. That and actually makes quicks fun to play I mean Merlin can be better technically in cqs. But it's not impossible for skadis to clear those just with a bit more difficulty. While the abilities aren't as bs, with the meta shift and just the ease, skadi is better in the quick era
@@arkhilean7427 for her to enable 3 turn farming you need either a MLB kscope or a regular kscope and another 20% charge. She makes farming easier for people that already have a farming setup.
@@redfiveish 20% charge is easy to come by unless you are missing both a ce from Christmas lotto events and don't have a taunt ce for shake(both are free ways for 20% charge turn 1 depending on how long you've played), the hard part really is just the kscope. But even then I'd argue just use imaginary element and wait two-3 extra turns depending on normal or mlb. (Or just use a certain 3* ce from fp) At least for AoE. ST typically has an easier time looping and batteries to start with like ridertoki
@@redfiveish ...Mages association uniform has a 20% charge. Summer 3 uniform has a 10% charge and if you're using a Parvati and Skadi setup like me, Parvati takes care of the other 10%. Skadi swoop da loop's are super easy with just a normal Kscope and Mages Association Uniform, all you need is Atalante, Dantes, or Parvati.
I only have Shiki saber, Arjuna , Nightingale , Jeanne d arc , and Gilgamesh. And I realize they are important.As a F2P player of FGO , I'm so happy that I have them for the first time.but the important is How to take care of your servant Even they are 1-5 star servants. F2P with Merlin and Ishtar, god I wish that were me. I hadn't gotten any 4-5* aside from the tutorial Heracles and the free summon Nero and I've been playing for a month now. Literally my grailed Kojiro is carrying me so that says a lot lol
I'm f2p in JP with Astrea, Reines, Charlotte, and the Three Welfare Gang (Kagetora, Summer Hokusai, as well as Santa Nightingale) as my main servants, while Parvati and Summer Melt being back-up. Even when I need to use servant outside the ring, at least one of them will be inside the party
F2P with a Jack, Shuten, Alter Jeanne, Alter Cu, Sherlock, Moriarty, Scheherazade, Leonardo, Karna, Sessyoin and Ozymandias. Played a bit a few years ago, but dropped it. Started a new account last year in February and summoned on the male banner to try getting Heracles, since I wanted to just start the game with Carmilla as a bit of a nod to her being my first 4* when I initially played. Ended up getting Altered Cu. It was my first or second 10x summoning, not including the tutorial summon.
It has been a year i started playing this game. Almost a year. You might even remember me from my cringe comment in other fgo videos. I was a f2p until super orion came. I bought some sq before his banner to get him at least np2. But got him np2 with free sq. Now i have 12 SSRs and 3 of them are np2. And i got most of them for their character development and background. As a person who fought goetia with a grailed regend as main dps I will say that don't leave the game because you didn't get a SSR. Whales probably had it worse cause they swim in river or ocean of salt.

I couldn't even get Hokusai. I promise myself that I will never waste money again after I got Jalter, but I couldn't help it when there's another tsundere that won my heart. I got hit by a love arrow by that happy valentine line of Semiramis' in the event store. I'm just glad she's coming back on the Apocrypha event.

3 years and 800 days playing FGO as f2p (thanks mash for those sweet 30 SQ) i only have 20 SSR and im really thankful for that. My first year was the best every month i get 1 SSR and now for some reason this year is happen again, but men the last year i only got 3 SSR but those are the best i want. For everyone who is new or a veteran, never underestimate the power of 1 roll and summoning in the 3-5am!

Pretty much in the same situation as a f2p starting in November who sold his soul on the GSSR banner. If it's any consolation, I know from personal experience that it's possible to go through Camelot without a single SSR - got my first one at the start of Babylonia. And hey, Tamamo should definitely be a big help - I know she'd be more than welcome in my roster.

Ah i start playin this game 3 year ago. My first servants are 4s berserk and first 5 was altria pendragon lancer. And...after these 3 years now i've got more 4 and 5star servants. I don't really use him because he is not strong enough(cú is more useful). but if you are a new player and he is your only SR servant , do not hesitate to level up him. Sorry for my bad english.
After you've done all of his strengthenings he's actually a really good crit archer. 2nd skill gives 3 turns of 100% star gen and crit dmg at max (massive percentages for those respective buffs, especially on a servant with naturally high star weight), and his 3rd skill at least buffs all his card types so his NP can hit slightly better and, more importantly, drop more crit stars. Takes some set up, but his dmg potential on his crits get big with even a single support; his NP isn't really meant to kill as it is to set up his crit combo by dropping a ton of stars, so his 3xA deck (despite, yes, decreasing his potential solo dmg due to lack of buster chains) can help him set that up more consistently. TL;DR: Yes, he's good. Crits like a mad man with a bit of set up, more than most other archers at least.
haha its so funny even I am nothing like that f2p coz my luck help me a lot. Got useful SSRs for each class except Assassin and berserker, not much but they able to cover my husbandos list
f2p here and its true! I really want to have ishtar and merlin but maybe its better to have a friend merlin than having one... too much farming work especially the skills. And for ishtar... well I have Eresh with me but what the hell ill get her someday!
F2p here with 12 5star servants and some 4stars. Pretty decent luck if you ask me. Ive gotten alot of the welfare servants too. So i think i have a better chance tackling higher level / difficulty challenges. Edit: 45 4stars servants including welfares.
F2p as well got 15 5stars and 48 4stars so I also feel pretty damn good about my luck . My ritual, if you can call it that, is to summon during the night like from 10pm to 1 am.
Not sure if its a rituals but i usually do 5 to 10 single pulls before i do a 30 pull. Thats when i get the gold card. Mind you, my luck was really crappy when i started. Its only now that i am gettig 5 stars.

I'm F2P and I've only been playing for like a month, but NP3 Cú and Mash plus a good support got me completely through Babylonia. I also got lucky and got Jalter and two Archer of Inferno, but I can't ascend them to max yet since I don't have access to the materials. Feathers and hearts are too rare for me to farm until after I clear Solomon and I can't get magatamas at all. But seriously, Cú + Mash + Gilgamesh/Altria will get you a long way.

As a F2P I gotta say, getting a 5* Servant feels so much more satisfying and rewarding than if you just bought enough SQ to brute force the gacha.

So I guess I have better luck than I thought,,, I'm f2p and a new-ish player (I started during prisma illya event rerun) and I have 4/5 stars in almost all classes, but no support servants lol I thank Kama and the Archer of Shinjuku for getting spooked a lot in their banners
HAH?!!! I'm a f2p and I would kill to get merlin or ishtar. I spent over 300 SQ in ten 10x summons and I got nothing! The current banner is the first time i got a 5 star CE, and only because it was free.
300 only ? I used more than thousand and still didnt get the servant i want 🙄
If it's any consolation, as a f2p, I only got my first SSR one month after starting the game (Ishtar, amusingly enough). Got three more in as many months since then (though to be fair, one of them involved selling my soul and paying for the GSSR banner).
So yeah, one needs patience, but things should eventually turn around.
Currently I don't have any 5 star servants and only good servant was herc at lvl60 cause can't find that annoying heart of the demon god, so what I mean was I can't understand the comments here.
i suggest you raise Cú FSN, his durability is great and his NP will be upgraded soon -> very strong

Define better. After playing for so long, a skadi is definitely better in the long run due to them making farming easier especially when you need to load a party with ces for an event. That and actually makes quicks fun to play
I mean Merlin can be better technically in cqs. But it's not impossible for skadis to clear those just with a bit more difficulty.
While the abilities aren't as bs, with the meta shift and just the ease, skadi is better in the quick era
@@arkhilean7427 for her to enable 3 turn farming you need either a MLB kscope or a regular kscope and another 20% charge. She makes farming easier for people that already have a farming setup.
@@redfiveish 20% charge is easy to come by unless you are missing both a ce from Christmas lotto events and don't have a taunt ce for shake(both are free ways for 20% charge turn 1 depending on how long you've played), the hard part really is just the kscope. But even then I'd argue just use imaginary element and wait two-3 extra turns depending on normal or mlb. (Or just use a certain 3* ce from fp)
At least for AoE. ST typically has an easier time looping and batteries to start with like ridertoki

Summer 3 uniform has a 10% charge and if you're using a Parvati and Skadi setup like me, Parvati takes care of the other 10%.
Skadi swoop da loop's are super easy with just a normal Kscope and Mages Association Uniform, all you need is Atalante, Dantes, or Parvati.

I'm f2p in JP with Astrea, Reines, Charlotte, and the Three Welfare Gang (Kagetora, Summer Hokusai, as well as Santa Nightingale) as my main servants, while Parvati and Summer Melt being back-up. Even when I need to use servant outside the ring, at least one of them will be inside the party
But then they pop out their fully grailed Cu, Ushiwakamaru or Arash and cause over a million damage
After the exam was over it should have shown angry mango on the f2p's side of the desk because he is the rarest servant

F2P with a Jack, Shuten, Alter Jeanne, Alter Cu, Sherlock, Moriarty, Scheherazade, Leonardo, Karna, Sessyoin and Ozymandias. Played a bit a few years ago, but dropped it. Started a new account last year in February and summoned on the male banner to try getting Heracles, since I wanted to just start the game with Carmilla as a bit of a nod to her being my first 4* when I initially played. Ended up getting Altered Cu. It was my first or second 10x summoning, not including the tutorial summon.

It has been a year i started playing this game. Almost a year. You might even remember me from my cringe comment in other fgo videos. I was a f2p until super orion came. I bought some sq before his banner to get him at least np2. But got him np2 with free sq. Now i have 12 SSRs and 3 of them are np2. And i got most of them for their character development and background. As a person who fought goetia with a grailed regend as main dps I will say that don't leave the game because you didn't get a SSR. Whales probably had it worse cause they swim in river or ocean of salt.
1:18 Semiramis! I whaled too much this month and I still can't summon her, even with the free Saint Quartz and Summon Tickets! I will never whale again. Wasted over $300 and I could've gotten food and pay my credit card instead.

I got hit by a love arrow by that happy valentine line of Semiramis' in the event store. I'm just glad she's coming back on the Apocrypha event.

3 years and 800 days playing FGO as f2p (thanks mash for those sweet 30 SQ) i only have 20 SSR and im really thankful for that.
My first year was the best every month i get 1 SSR and now for some reason this year is happen again, but men the last year i only got 3 SSR but those are the best i want.

Pretty much in the same situation as a f2p starting in November who sold his soul on the GSSR banner. If it's any consolation, I know from personal experience that it's possible to go through Camelot without a single SSR - got my first one at the start of Babylonia. And hey, Tamamo should definitely be a big help - I know she'd be more than welcome in my roster.

I don't really use him because he is not strong enough(cú is more useful). but if you are a new player and he is your only SR servant , do not hesitate to level up him.

After you've done all of his strengthenings he's actually a really good crit archer. 2nd skill gives 3 turns of 100% star gen and crit dmg at max (massive percentages for those respective buffs, especially on a servant with naturally high star weight), and his 3rd skill at least buffs all his card types so his NP can hit slightly better and, more importantly, drop more crit stars. Takes some set up, but his dmg potential on his crits get big with even a single support; his NP isn't really meant to kill as it is to set up his crit combo by dropping a ton of stars, so his 3xA deck (despite, yes, decreasing his potential solo dmg due to lack of buster chains) can help him set that up more consistently.
TL;DR: Yes, he's good. Crits like a mad man with a bit of set up, more than most other archers at least.

F2p as well got 15 5stars and 48 4stars so I also feel pretty damn good about my luck . My ritual, if you can call it that, is to summon during the night like from 10pm to 1 am.
Not sure if its a rituals but i usually do 5 to 10 single pulls before i do a 30 pull. Thats when i get the gold card. Mind you, my luck was really crappy when i started. Its only now that i am gettig 5 stars.

Saber Astolfo is nothing to boast about. If it was Musashi, Benienma, or Okita then we got a different story.
Subjective, I put Bestolfo above all of those. Esp. Benienma (annoying)
I'm F2P and I've only been playing for like a month, but NP3 Cú and Mash plus a good support got me completely through Babylonia. I also got lucky and got Jalter and two Archer of Inferno, but I can't ascend them to max yet since I don't have access to the materials. Feathers and hearts are too rare for me to farm until after I clear Solomon and I can't get magatamas at all.
But seriously, Cú + Mash + Gilgamesh/Altria will get you a long way.
