You are a fun and also amazing teacher. Thanks for the video, Scott! I always enjoy watching you paint, and your ability to converse about everything under the sun. You are an authentic personality and I love that you just are a true and genuine person. You are super knowledgable in oil painting fine portraiture!
😂 Oh my word, NEVER CHANGE, Scott! I am DYING from these incredible, hilarious stories and positively STUNNED by your skill. I didn't know it was even POSSIBLE to possess the talent level of the old masters while simultaneously being able to laugh at yourself.
LOL!!! You are so funny! 10 to 20 subscribers in less than 8 months! Only you could pull off this self- deprecating humor so naturally- and not turn people away from the channel, or so I am assuming. Good video, good information. Look forward to more.
😂😂😂😂 You made my day!!! The poses of the mad lady and the hand in the air with sound was amazing!!! I can go on hearing your stories while watching you painting. Memorabile! Fantastico!! 🌹Can't wait to see your next video!
Scott, don't overthink it, I could just watch your amazing talent unfold on the canvas whilst you talk through your weekly shopping list - because you would probably make even that humorous and genuine. Love your videos, in the UK 🇬🇧
Hello Ian Thank you so much for sharing your experience. A few months ago you said you were taking a break from making videos to reflect on your own art and where you wanted to take it if I remember correctly. You encouraged followers to sign up to receive your videos during that time. I did exactly that but I did not receive anything. I am glad to see that you’re back and I hope you found what you wanted.
You are an amazing Artist & you are very honest it’s so amazing I get such a lift hearing your story’s they make me smile you always have so many interesting story’s to say pure joy to listeners
Hi Scott I’m so grateful for your Chanel and everything you share. I feel like this is my opportunity to have excellent art lessons and grow as an artist despite my financial situation. Keep it coming!
I am a fairly new subscriber. I am enjoying your You Tube talks and demonstrations so much. You have been blessed with the gift of the gab as they sat in Ireland. I could listen to you tell stories and talk about painting for hours. I also taught an evening class, Design and Composition, at the Art College that I had just recently graduated from. This was the in mid seventies. I too was so nervous that it was very obvious to the participants. I learned that later. Everything that you said rang so true for me. I do not know why the attendance list had to have the professions of the student…that totally set me off…A doctor, teachers, social worker etc…Oh gawd, I was 22 years old and like you I felt that the participants will know more that I do…My mouth became so dry that my upper lip stuck on my gum and would not come down…I had to manually push it back down.😂 Now on to your next video
I am enthralled by your videos, even if you ramble on at times. I am learning more here than anywhere else watching them. I have noticed that on several of the art pieces that you consistently manage to get the eye on the right a little larger than the eye on the left side. I hope to learn more in future videos. Keep up the good work.
I am painting ..you are painting…and you are babbling about your experiences…I like it (and beside that I learn something..)Thank you my painting friend. 😃 Greetings from Croatia…👋😎
i found your channel while i was looking for some videos that talk about oil painting and portraits. i went to all your videos and watched it> you are amazing person with the way you present the information and teaching methods. thank you for your efforts. sorry ,my English language is weak but i wanted to share my opinion and say how much i learned from you. 😊👁
WOW!! lol I actually know someone who participated in that GCA still life competition that you were talking about and he talked about it once ,Cool to hear another side of the story and keep up the good work Scott 👍🏼
If Cesar started beating up a bathroom while I was in it, I’d have been nervous, myself … especially if I were one of the judges 🤪! Funny stories 🤣; hope you’re feeling better.
Mann your humour is way better than the office episodes haha... hey can you please talk about different primers you have used or.. specifically about the primer you use... I also tried your patreon tutorials... They were really great,.. but everytime I ended up with dull looking paintings because of poor priming in canvas.
Ritual self humiliation builds character :) Cesar now lives in Florence & he's still angry. Good artist! On one occasion he was teaching and a friend of mine, an elderly Italian lady, who had studied with Madam Simi in Florence was studying with.him. Unfortunately for her, she was a lot better than him at portrait and he blew a fuse, on the basis that she wasn't copying him precisely enough. Humility can be a great teacher if we give it a chance.
Yeah, nice solution I thought about the same, you should have got all of your pants soaked..., but with clean water; Your experience had me laughing hard. Hope that what you said at the beginning of your videos about your channel growing is true. Cheers!
I love what you do and also your humour but there are some sentences that I don't understand well because I'am french. Would it be possible to add ssubtitles, at least in English? If I pause it from timt to time, I could translate what I don't understand. If you can't, well, I'll keep following you anyway, you are so talented and kind. Thank you for all your videos! 💖
Scott, you belong next to the likes of Bouguereau and Waterhouse. I've seen a lot of people paint like Alex Venezia but nobody in this generation can do what you do.
a bit off topic but $15 dollar secondhand H&M shirt is not worth it unless its like one you've been on the hunt for 😩 $5-8 is fair. Most new shirts go for like $20-25,
Y'know Scott, you make yourself sound dire when you were younger, the thing is its not true, we all say and do stoopid things to impress others but people forget that, you grew up and wow! did you grow up into one of the most talented, funny engaging guys, I love your demos and will be buyin more when I can, hats of to you Scott, you did it. Oh and by the way, that's a nasty shirt, don't do it again........... Please, ......... Please. No, just, No.
Think you just started a new thing 'this happened in an art workshop' - I havent even led that many workshops but I've had similar experiences to the ones you recounted apart from having a rental car being demolished by a student. Take away advice for tutors is cut the arty bs its not helping anyone.
With only 360 Thumbs Up, you need to understand your, viewers. Most of us have a short attention span. You do like to talk, but we prefer shorter videos with interesting content. We don't like to hear talk videos. Your videos are very good and valuable to us, but way too long with your talking.

As one painting-workshop teacher to another: BRAVO!! (Cesar Santos studied at our academy, by the way.)
MJA, enjoyed your workshops in Toronto...Scott brings me back to those days. Thanks to both of you for your inspirational words.
Your stories are hysterical. The doctor crashing into your rental car, LOL.

You are the best discovery i did on you tube since YEARS!😂❤
The Cesar story was hilarious
Yeah that’s my school! Brad, Adam, Scott, Kelly and all those professors are absolutely incredible! Best art program in Utah in my opinion :)
I am painting ..you are painting…and you are babbling about your experiences…I like it (and beside that I learn something..)Thank you my painting friend. 😃 Greetings from Croatia…👋😎
We miss you at Snow College. Those were great times!

😂😂😂 love your sense of humor. Keep going and your views will grow. 😊
Haha, I've been watching your videos for years and I love how gossipy you are. (Please don't take that as a negative, it's fun, don't change!)
I love your videos, you explain things so well and hopefully I will improve my art 😊
Priceless therapy. Really.
omg I laughing so hard right now and trying to paint at the same time. Great stories - we've all been there.
If Cesar started beating up a bathroom while I was in it, I’d have been nervous, myself … especially if I were one of the judges 🤪! Funny stories 🤣; hope you’re feeling better.
thanks Scott, always great information.
lol perfect introduction to your channel! Thanks for story time.
So great !!
This one has subtitles, so weird that the other UA-cam videos don't.

very nice
Wished you use a brighter red than the Alizarin for flesh tones. What you think?
Hi Scott.. Could i know what kind of colour did you use for underpainting?
Thank you for sharing experience, can I know if you recommend taking a workshop if it teaches painting from images or photographs or live painting?
Hi Scott do you need a teaching license to teach/instruct art workshops?
Yeah, nice solution I thought about the same, you should have got all of your pants soaked..., but with clean water; Your experience had me laughing hard. Hope that what you said at the beginning of your videos about your channel growing is true. Cheers!
I love your work! P.S. Can we have captions? I can't hear you over my chips.

Do you have courses available this year?
Is there such a thing as being too honest? Just kidding Scott.
💕😂😂😂 keep gooooooing
👍👍👍
Ciao, è difficile seguirti se non si conosce la lingua, è possibile mettere i sottotitoli? grazie

I keep trying to figure out what the sketch beneath is...
It appears to be an eyeball from one of his previous demos.
Hi sir good morning too
What are the tips for teaching workshops?
*not Scott Peterson* 🤣
We miss you also at Snow College Patrick!
@@scottallred5370 hey Scott! Hope you’re doing well. I’d love to come back someday. 😊
@@patrickbyrnes3864 We would love that!

Scott love your work--and Cesars work, but watch out.-he really really might actually be watching! 🙊😧
We live in a world with Alex Venezia 🤣
Change your channel's name to "Scott Waddell's Realistic Portraits". Mr.Bill Leyshon from 2C41 graciously accepted a similar request..
Por favor subtitulos en español ❤❤❤❤😥
Are you a Virgo??
