@NewPumpkin I had never heard of them either... until I got a BLS book. They ended up being converted to Re 4/4s. Current locomotives Re 4/4 161 - 165 used to be Ae 4/4 II 261 - 265.
@MrBoogieoogieoogie Actually the BLS Re 4/4 started production in 1964.. but the Ae 4/4 with the smaller ventilators began production in 1944. So this one is around 45 years old. Sadly, the Ae 4/4's and Ae 8/8's are no longer in use. There is also an Ae 4/4 II ... which looks the same as the BLS Re 4/4... and I'm not sure how to tell them apart.
@MrBoogieoogieoogie Thanks... I was wondering if a video like these would even mean anything to anybody, lol... I love the sound of the engines of these locomotives

@NewPumpkin I wonder how long it will live... I hope for a lot longer!
@NewPumpkin Yeah... I haven't noticed any differences either...
The sound sounds realy modern for a locomotive that is almost 60 years old.
Nice video!
Nice Loko!
