Our son (10 years old) found an Idle Cure t-shirt in an old box of clothes... he's now wearing it to school! (public school, even!) Oh, the conversations! "Who's Idle Cure?" "Well, let me tell you...." I LOVE IT!!
Ahhh...one my first Christian tapes. It blessed me so much when I was trying to convert from being a heavy metal partier to a Christian. Oh the days when Christian artists cared about people's salvation and their growth....
I remember this song. In fact I had this cassette and used to hide it so no one in my church knew I had it. I attended a Pentecostal church and this kind of music was strictly forbidden. So glad I'm away from that legalism. Great live video! Thanks for posting.
What a surprise!! They were such a blessing when I was trying to "leave my old life!" (1986?) If I remember correctly, the singer was really a lawyer, the guitar player was in international finance and the keyboard player was an owner of a contruction company. What a blessing to see this! Thanks for posting!
First time I ever saw these guys live was at Knott's Berry Farm singing in the rain and they guys kept getting shocked. Hilarious yet they still managed to provide a great show.
Wow... got all their albums in the late eighties early nineties..never saw anything by them on vid or live..Im from the UK.. anything possible on UA-cam.. thanks for puttin this up!
Long time ago, in the end of the '80, i was at a concert in Lüdenscheid ( Germany ) It was great, now I found this song and thinking back to this time. Thank you for posting
ohhhhh Man I never sew before ai live video of this amazing band,,what a great new to watch this awesome band on youtube,,great set on this web,,we missed it
Hey Mark Ambrose! I'm very much looking foward to that additional concert footage you are putting together. I was in college during your playing days, but never got to see the band. You guys are still my favorites. Love the raunchy guitar hooks, and your lyrics are un-paralleled. Thank you for all the great music! Hope to SEE more !
This is pretty sweet! My word, it's been so many years since I heard these guys! I remember rollerskating to Breakaway back in the early 90's. Did anyone else go to Christian night skating nights back then? It was such a great time! Christian rock was just starting to take off and all of us finally had an outlet where we could rock because it was Cristian Rock! "Don't deny the love He has for you, don't let the cold wind of the world keep Him from you." Thanks for the video :)
you really need to do another few concerts! You were and always will be one of my favorite bands! One of my dreams is still to see you in concert. I guess that will be a dream, but back in the day... that would've been a memory i would've cherished for years!
@mkambrose , what the news about the idle cure, are you on the road yet?, I'm from brazil and I became a great fan of your songs, and in my church we are playing a lot breakaway.
@mkambrose You guys rocked!!! Caught a few concerts at Knott's Berry Farm. I'm currently listening to "2nd Avenue" which I dusted off. Gotta get some of the others on cd. Blessings!
I have all their stuff on CD.... brilliant..the good thing about em was...whether you are a christian..a "believer" or not... it didn matter... the true first crossover act... I like em just for their music... why hasnt this gig ever been transferred to DVD ?? come on Mr Ambrose.. get it sorted! Neil UK
YOU BOYS NEED TO GET BACK TOGETHER RIGHT NOW!!! America needs your talent and hope. Excellent work. Brilliant talent. Respect RH DSD

This band even my back-slidden, Def Leppard fan, friend loved. They need to return in a bad way.
Amen
