FIRST MAJOR BOSS - PORT NIXON
-First thing you'll probably notice: No health bar. To kill this guy, you need to target and destroy 5 specific parts of his body - The 3 legs and the 2 cooling tanks behind his arms.
-To hit the COOLING TANKS, you either need to destroy the arms (which is time consuming) or just stun him. Notice the 3 little armor symbols by his name; that means you need to parry 3 of his attacks before he's stunned.
-To bait him into a parry-able attack, stand close to him. If you're too far off, or to the side, he'll try and hit you with his legs, which cannot be parried. His most common attack is a LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT combo: it's the easiest to parry and the most consistent. So wait for that, then hit the cooling tanks when he's stunned.
-To destroy the legs, you're gonna need to be a little more cautious. The left and right leg are the hardest; it's best to bait him into the attack where he slaps his back leg on the ground in front of him then steps forward. His other legs are immobile during this attack, so you'll have so time to get a few hits in.
The back leg is best attacked in the same way; bait out the back leg step attack then hit it a few times before backing off.
ATTACKS
-If you're close to either of his front legs, he'll perform a slam attack that cannot be parried and does tons of damage; best avoided.
-A swipe attack with his legs; he does this if you're to his far left or right; also best avoided.
-Back leg step attack; it'll slap it's back leg into the ground in front of it, then flip forward. This is the best time to attack the legs, and isn't too hard to bait out by standing about middle distance away from Johnny, as long as you're in front of him.
-Mine attack; another good opportunity to attack his legs; he'll spread electric mines throughout the battlefield by dumping water from his pod. The mines don't actually activate until he's done spreading them around, so you're free to get in close and do some damage while he's still performing this attack.
-ARM ATTACK: LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT; that's the order he'll swipe at you with his arms. Great for parrying, leaves his COOLING TANKS vulnerable.
-TOXIC BLAST: He'll shoot out a shotgun blast of toxic water in an cone in front of him. When he's shrieking and winding up, get to the far left or right.
REWARDS:
-LITTLE JOHNNY'S FORCEPS
-EMP-44 "STARFISH" can be used to open magnetic locks and stun enemies.
That timing window for omnidirectional blocking is straight up BS!
*Blocking is for noobs* Strategy 2: Buy a ton of ammo for your drone.
1: Lock on to pincer one cell, hammer it with your drone (should be able to take that out easy)
2: Lock on to the second pincer use up the rest of your ammo. (should be able to take it down to half health and then just hammer the rest of it down, no need to bother with the blocking)
3: continue with the legs
also, helps to have 3 x Main health inject and 3 x slow release health injection which is pretty quick to farm up before the fight
If you hit and break his two blue arms first, he will drop the upgraded V2 weapon with a great ability

This is game is so much better than the first, but I still have issues with the way the levels are designed. A lot of the areas have the same look. It’s not as bad as the first game. Regardless, it’s one of the better souls like games out there. The best of course being Mortal Shell.
The only reason this fight was hard at first was because I had no idea you could target particular parts like when you target enemies. I kept trying to hit the tanks and I kept missing and it was incredibly frustrating.
Derek D I literally spent an hour doing that yesterday 🙈 I wish I had read the info that popped up on the screen literally just before you go into the boss haha. Lesson learnt
It's like if Lords of the fallen and for honor had a baby, then severely abused it until it hated everything that was alive

Oi dude how do you attack the coolant tanks? I menage to parry him 3 times but when I hit those 2 tanks I get staggered like im hitting a wall. literally cant damage those 2 middle tanks :/
I don't know why but the first time after watching this video I was able to beat him even tho I couldn't parry his attack once.
I heard if ya go under him an try lock on one of his slashers he will slam on ya an ya try an dodge that atk quick an I’m gunna try that soon

F*** this game. I halfway enjoyed it until this cheap af boss. I don’t understand the directional parry for starters. I’ve beaten elden ring, platinumed sekiro, spent over 300+ hours in Nioh, beaten hollow knight time and time again- just about any souls like that has came to playstation, I have consumed with joy… but this just seems like half arsed trash.
I really tried to enjoy this game. I know I could git gud, but honestly, this game doesn’t seem deserving. Pass.
How do you do that slide attack?
@Winter Eclipse I found out in the options menu the run button behaviour has to be changed to run only, then running press attack to slide.
