I had no choice but to continue on with the world quest once I heard this when the Traveler got into a daze looking at the statue early on in Petrichor.
That first cutscene of Remuria's glorious past and disastrous fall was made all the more memorable with this somber yet pristine and deeply cathartic track playing in the background.
To me, even at first listen, this felt like the initial anguish (first half) and eventual bittersweet acceptance (second half) of a dream that has been broken, forever irreparable.
It's a song that somehow simultaneously feels like personal heartbreak and the anthem of an entire nation's legacy before it crumbles into the deep.
Incredible.
EXACTLY the reason why this is my ultimate favorite song out of this new region. 😢 So beautiful and haunting, dreamy yet melancholic. I love it.

I started the quest on accident too and i wasn't wearing my headphones. So i logged out to look for my headphones and restarted the quest. The ost was so good and it's still playing inside my head few days after i finished it.
The song gives me a feeling of sadness, not heart wrenching sadness but more like a "backround" feeling that lasts forever. You feel as if you are witnessing the fall of Remuria itself

It feels like just yesterday I explored the Archon Quest, Beautiful landscape, and captivating world quests of Fontaine. I am still in shock that we are at the end. To say Fontaine has captivated me through its entire update lifespan is an understatement, and I will miss the constant Fontaine updates dearly. But extremely excited for Natlan (and of course we still got 2 more updates to enjoy Fontaine!)
@@guyperson2651I will be honest exploring Fontaine has not got me so excited as it was for Inazuma and Sumeru, i didn't make any particular memories in Fontaine exploration. I think it's because i didn't liked underwater exploration that much and everything in general felt pretty empty to me. Remuria is pretty good tho

11:26 is stuck inside my head because I retried it so many times, I used Scara, Xianyun both for mobility + anemo resonance, Geo traveler for pre-placed geo constructs, rosaria + night for movement speed, and stamina food buffs
"Why?" you ask because I didn't know until a friend told me that you could freeze the bubbles with the skill thing 🪦⚰️
Still, Remuria is peak Genshin music for me right now (it's the [OST disc number of releases]th time I say this, I'm probably saying this again when Natlan disc comes out XD)

Remuria is so romantic. Not in an "im in love" way, but in the way that it's beautiful. It's beautiful because it's tragic. A civilization doomed to fail, but doing it in the most beautiful way.

I believe that Remuria may not be the final expansion of Fontaine. It is possible that there is still Mont Esus, but it will likely be released in future updates.

9:48 'Alucinatio Gloriosa' ('Boastful/Glorious Reverie/Delusion') gives me goosebumps every time - I've never heard the delicate strains of a single harp combined with the sonorous tones of an all-male choir before (yes, those are male altos!). It seems to speak of Remuria's pure-minded ideal combined with the heavy-handedness that eventually led to tyranny, and then to their tragic fall
