@@4Everlast Presidents "advisors" consist of the Military Industrial Complex sector. When everything looks like a Nail, you use the hammer... the CIA and the post WW2 era was too fearmongery about the Communist threat. I am not pro Communist, it had its own devastating issues.. Sigh.

I remember at the time thinking it was the most egregious scam on the taxpayer in US history. It reminded me of that entire fake army of paper tanks, jeeps, guns and trucks the US and Brits ginned up in WW2 to confuse onlookers- but if that fake army had then een used to "attack" another somewhat REAL army our govn't ALSO manufactured.

You both hit the problem directly! I worked at USPS Hq in IT as a Program Manager, and I was the only PM in the entire department trained as a Program Manager. The rest holding the title hired contractors to do the work they were paid to do!? And that is still going on! Great report!! You nailed it! Now if we can just get some action to stop what the government is doing.

I think _"technocracy"_ is an appropriate word here. A small panel of supposedly unbiased experts appointed to make decisions with little democratic accountability. There are far too many institutions like this.

_"Populism"_ may have the negative connotation that it appeals to people's base instincts, and makes simplistic promises it can't fulfil. But it can also be necessary as an antidote to elitism. It's important to engage with populist ideas, rather than simply dismiss them.
Jessica nailed it when she said often “populism” is used as a slur for advocating for representatives to represent the people in a DEMOCRACY !

The Report is a film based on real events but in no way should it be called a documentary
It's a much bigger victory than most people realize.
The problem no one knows about is. All these places now have no one that knows what they are doing. The people that did area retiring or already did. I'm not talking about moral views; I am talking about literally not knowing how anything works. The structures don't just collapse because of how it was made. But the slow downgrade of these places will start to speed up ETC the plane issues, Narrative spinners.
This was an incisive and perceptive conversation between two thoughtful smart people, I'm used to getting great insights from Amber, its a real delight to start hearing them from Jessica.

I've been around for a bit (almost went to Vietnam) and like you two I am a researcher and chronicler on a very small scale of the previous chapter of the unelected State. I say previous with determination... This is an excellent report! Thank you for your commitment to the truth here because it is much needed.
I only have one suggestion for the future. This nation is a constitutional democratic republic. It is a republic that has the needed influence of the democratic process, and the guiding doctrine - the one thing that even makes it possible besides the separation of powers - is the US Constitution. When referring to our democracy, please, use the terms democratic republic, constitutional republic, constitutional democracy, constitutional democratic republic. I think you catch my drift here.
If that doctrine of the US Constitution ever gets sidelined, it will be the end of freedom as we know it. It seems to have gotten lost and perhaps even deemed old and no longer applicable. This perception is extremely short sighted and really uninformed. Bringing it back into the discussion and siting the merits of its parts and the whole directly linking these to whatever report you are doing will go a very long way to ensuring people understand at least in part how integral it is. It is after all, how we even got here in the good sense. The deep unelected state linked to corporatism is what it warns us against, and what Jefferson warned extensively about in his writings.
