One of the first things the Labour Government should do is appoint a new Chairman of the BBC. The first thing the new Chairman should do is sack Laura Kuenssberg. She ceased to be a proper journalist a long time ago.

Kuenssberg has been frequently accused of being pro-Conservative and parroting their talking points in place of taking a neutral stance and pushing back against bias. I don't take her seriously as an interviewer as she displays a right-wing bias in her questions and analysis.

Rayner couldn't nip it in the bud, because remember it went "she bought a council house" nobody cared, so they switched to "she possibly didn't pay the right tax" it was £1,000 even if true so again people didn't care that much, so then they changed to "she was possibly on the wrong electoral register". It doesn't matter what she did the right will just change goalposts because it's not about the truth, it's about throwing out as much as possible and hoping something sticks. I can garentuee if the police report comes back as she did nothing wrong. They will go back to "she bought a council house"

She hasn't been anything like credible or impartial since 2017, when she mis-reported on some comments by Jeremy Corbyn, and completely misrepresented his views. Then in 2019 she tweeted the lie about a "Labour protester punching a Tory adviser in the face", when the video she tweeted showed nothing of the sort... Then doubled down the night before the election and revealed details about postal votes before election day - she never faced any censure for that one, despite it being at the very least a gross breach of impartiality rules, and at worst a criminal offence.

If you read the article on the BBC website it doesn’t mention that on both of these issues they are out of time. The fact the police in Manchester are even bothering to investigate, when they must know there is no chance of any legal action, given the dates involved must indicate political involvement by the police, which is something that should be investigated.
And James Daly ,the Tory MP who instigated the investigation should be ashamed tying up police time when they've more important issues.

It's the same in Scotland with operation Branchform. The investigation has cost double what was being investigated. Police Scotland have been investigating this for over 3 years. No one has been charged. What a total waste of taxpayers money.

When Nadhim Zahawi diddled millions in unpaid tax, it was an inadvertent error, an oversight. So clearly the same must be the case for Rayner assuming she’s done anything wrong anyway. No? Obviously we’re missing something here, something which I think Kuennsberg’s towering intellect should address so she can explain it all to us impartial BBC viewers.
