it was a finish so there was effort to give that call never mind you can try but if it was a protest it was 100% negative and wy thit 03 not pulled red flag as protest?
@@18thhoursailing it also looked like when they were taking you up, that up was Not the proper course. but I can't tell from my couch. I did a lot of 109 and 105 racing
@celticspike7 the rules are different now, one may 'hunt' i.e. use the rules as a weapon not just for safe navigation. Do i agree with the comments above that it's fine to lie and do wrong whenever you can on the racecourse? No, i think the essence of yachting has been lost and, as we usually do, Americans have taken a classy thing and managed to win a lot by cheapening it. Regardless, it is that way now, and outside of the circle 'proper course' is somewhere in a trash can with giving up your seat for a lady.
I have been known to yell stbd. when on port just to shake up the competition for a minute. Sometimes I get a break and gain the extra couple of yards.
You are correct on this statement, but he did achieve overlap right as he was about to collide with us. So my ruling would be that he could have protested us for not tacking at that time. Which we did not do because it would have forced us into potential contact with the committee boat/finishing mark. Thanks for thw comment
That was pretty darn exciting!
Thank you, It was some great racing this weekend
Great job love the aggressive reaching there!
Pretty sure you had the best view on all of us once you crossed that finish line and were looking back😊
@@18thhoursailing happy I wasn't in the mess!
Thx for sharing!
Thank you very much. Have a great week
Starboard is the rule except for mast abeam on starboard. Never heard that call here.

I love it. The guy on port tack yelling “starboard”! The desperate try anything to cause you to make a mistake. All’s fair in love and war.
Lots of dirty tricks out their, and we all use what ever we can😊 stay safe and thank you for the ccomment

THAT SHOULD BE REFUSED TO GO UP
Oh...yesssss....j24 is best boat for inport race
I recognized this was Lake Grapevine in TX.
Believe it is eagle mountain lake in fort worth. Really strange wind patter
That 03 boat yelling starboard and telling cam boat to come up had no rights as no overlap existed
