Have you guys ever used OxiClean before and what do you think of it? I use it in my laundry sometimes but this is the first time I've used it on a rug - and to remove big stains. I'm surprised it worked as well as it did!
Great job but if I may offer some quick tips that will make ur job easier. First pour ur solution in a spary bottle with warm water. It will help dissolve the powder easier and the warm water helps with “lifting” the carpet stain out. Second if you own a drill invest in a $9 drill brush. After spraying your solution go to town with the drill brush to agitate the fibers and loosen the stain. The nylon bristles do not damage the carpet. Third a steamer will pay dividends in the long run. A handheld model go for about $50 at Costco or if your on a limited budget purchase a used one for $20. The 200 degree heat from the steam dissolves organic stains such as your pets puke. When tackling stains a multi approach solution is best. Oxi Clean is great but needs a little extra help too.
I use it all the time on vintage linens I get at flea markets and thrift stores. Tablecloths, napkins, embroidered pieces... So glad it worked well for you!
I just used oxy in my carpet cleaner for my cleaning business. Yes I deed it works amazing! I used my shaving cream and sprinkled oxy on stain and it disappeared. Also oxy is good to clean over. Make a paste and spread it or put in spray bottle does wonders. Thanks for the video people need to know this.
Oxy clean is awesome! I discovered borax does a great job at lifting stains on my son’s white high chair straps. Gets them pretty clean too! Not sure if that’s safe for carpet but it’s cheaper!
Hydrogen peroxide (Lysol makes a multi purpose one i like) Spray dab or lightly rub if stubborn, use a STEAMER or steam mop with smaller attachment and it will lift it.
My best friends dog is named Rosie too and kind of looks like yours lol. I think it did work really good getting the stain out. Good to know since my dogs have accidents a lot. I have a hand held shampooer that works pretty good but it doesnt always get the stubborn set in stains out. Thanks for sharing ❤️
We used to have a big shampooer but recently got rid of it bc we never really used it. And I've tried those cans of Woolite carpet cleaner but they never really do anything. If you could have seen the original stain, yuck! It was so dark and too gross to show. 😝 I thought that rug was a goner.
Not sure if you read your comments still or not but i have a one bedroom apartment and my living room is the only section in my house with carpet it's a very lite tan color my guinea pig pees while he's having floor time recently he's been dealing with a uti so the oxiclean got out the blood spots i have the same oxiclean you do❤🌹
This is handy to know!! I don’t have a lot of carpet but my daughter spilled nail polish on my timber floors!! Do you have any suggestions on getting nail polish off ?
Strong Mind Soft Heart ive used windex (make sure to use the kind with ammonia ) to clean nail polish off of a carpet and it worked great, you can try that!
I use oxiclean on everything 😂 makes me daughter’s baby clothes look like nothing ever happened. Gonna see if it can get my carpet new again after the cranberry juice fiasco 😶
I don’t know if it’s No. 1 but it certainly worked well for what I needed it to. I actually use it a lot. Also, the reason for the tape on the corners of the ottoman is because we have kitties that like to scratch at the furniture and the tape helps to keep them from doing that (they don’t like the feel ).
Hey! We didn’t actually name her Rosey. She’s a rescued greyhound and her full racing name is Pat C. Rosey, so they called her Rosey for short. Wouldn’t necessarily be my choice for a dog name but we decided there was no reason to change it when we brought her home. She is a sweet dog and it just seems to suit her now!
@@sharontheholidaysThat's a fine dog name ! 🙂👍 (Lots of British dogs are called things like Ben. Though I intend to name my long-hoped-for GSD Sirius! 🙂)

It says on UK Amazon that you CAN use it on rugs!

I wasn't sure how it would do on the rug but I was pleasantly surprised!

Thank for sharing your experience, greatly appreciated! And everyone’s comments are helpful as well!
Glad we all could be of some help. Thanks for watching! 😁
To dry your rug out a bit, and to suck up more dirt, you could use a home carpet cleaner subsequent to the Oxiclean. Which is what I intend to do!! 👍

I might look for borax next time I go to the store. With 2 cats and a dog, I feel like im constantly cleaning stains!
Don't Quit Your Daydream borax works well for me! Not sure if it'd bleach anything though. Just make sure it's ok for the surface.
Great to know. Thanks for sharing!

Remind me of me when I’m cleaning my husband says I’m gonna blow us up one day because I just be mixing things. It usually works though.
You need a shop vac. The extraction of the solution is the magic
I have a CARPET wet vac...

I might try this on my couch 🛋 xx
Baking soda and fresh air from windows would help remove the odor cinnamon will just mask it

1 - Do you really believe that oxiclean is No. 1 cleaner? They all say the same ...
2 - Tapes in yur sofas ????????
