Oooohhh my word!!!! An untouched colonial cellar in Massachusetts!!! Insane!!! Wow that shoe buckle is EPIC!!!!!!! British copper, those amazing buttons and even the shoe buckle guts!!!!!! So incredible! Becoming one of my new favorite channels to watch! Congrats to your little man for the pic and find in American Digger Magazine! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Crazy thing is I’ve walked past this cellar hole many times without even realizing it. I came in on a different angle one day and it caught my attention. Glad I did! Tons of broken pottery in the holes I might dig it out a sift it someday.
Wow, looks like a great site. I'm pretty sure that is no drawer pull, though. That is a pommel from a sword or large knife. (I found a very similar one.) The tang would pass through the handle, through the pommel, and poke out of the square hole. The emerging part of the tang is rounded and threaded, and It's held on by a nut. Congrats!!
