I was a little kid when this show aired, I loved this, especially the PT boats, there weren't many options back then, only a few other channels to pick from, but this was funny
The cast script writing so fun and the physical comedy of Joe Flynn Tim Conway just remarkable but the best thing about it they always got away with it
One of my favorite shows.

It's especially funny if one knows that PT boats had 3 engines...and no oars.

Got away with it? It's TV. You flatliner. It's even farther from reel than a $3 bill.
Navy wasn't like this when I was in 1977
That was a bad year for the Navy.
McHale's Navy went into syndication the same time as Hazel, September 1967.
The long intos and add ons...probably keep youtube from taking video down..for copyright violations
...don't care for the add ins...just show it as original broadcast...
why would they "wash" in salt water?????
I don't get it?
Wouldn't the soap get rinsed straight out?
If the U.S. Navy was that Goofy in 1943, it would have caused catastrophic defeat.
