One of my favorite things about this show was seeing the close relationship Rick has with Alexis. I hope my daughters and I have this kind of relationship when they grow up.

@@Caseytify Oh I know. My best was when my two sons were younger and the three of us walked into a crowded elevator and I asked the first person I saw to pull my finger. My boys were mortified, most of the people in the elevator laughed.
13:15 that was only a handful of time when I thought Alexis was a bit cruel to his dad. But I understood where she came from. She wanted a life of her own and explore things on her own and fail and learn. So she almost had to say it to allow Cadtle to let her be herself. I felt for Castle. At that time he felt he was gonna be alone
Didn’t you wear space cowboy like five years ago.... with a famously known firefly music note on playing the background .... But I liked it... brilliant.

Usually the kid characters could be a bit annoying, but Alexis played by Molly Quinn was incredible. That graduation speech at the end of Season 4 was incredible.
No they definitely annoying, she’s always acting more mature than her dad and is constantly giving HIM life advice they basically made her the basic tv kid actor who’s somehow smarter than the adults
@@tashrif46 Her character just doesn’t make sense, she’s a rich kid who’s been sheltered her whole life and after (SPOILER) getting kidnapped and put through cruel situations and kicked in a cage she shrugs it off like it’s nothing and is like ”Gotta live my life” in what world does a spoiled rich girl go through something like that and is almost completely unfazed by it?
@Dwayne_19K what are you trying to prove here? Its a TV show. And she is right, something terrible happened to her, but she was not looking for trouble or hanging in the crowds. Nobody knew what was going on. And did you see how she reacted when her father went missing in Season 6/7?
@@tashrif46 There is no way a spoiled rich teenaged girl who gets away with literally EVERYTHING is gonna go through what she did and show ZERO signs of trauma, and after that she had the audacity to come out of nowhere with some bf Castle never even met or heard of,bring him into Castle’s home and told HIM that her that he’s gonna be living there for a while which also ended up being weeks? A couple months? Nothing against the actress but the way they wrote the character after the first couple seasons made her extremely annoying and had her reaction to certain situations COMPLETELY unrealistic for a teenaged girl
When I first watched the episode where he wore his Mal costume and the music played when he said space cowboy, the windows cracked from the fan squeal.
I’m the Alexis to my dad’s Castle. When my parents divorced, I became the “little mother”, looking after my siblings and being responsible. Of course, my dad was and is a responsible adult but I had to be the voice of reason during his flights of fancy.

Castle is a fab dad. And alexis is a fab daughter. In fact this relationship was one of the reasons i fell for castle. Beckett did too.
I read in an interview that Molly Quinn said that Nathan Fillion is just like her father.

I think this was the best writing and portrayal of a father daughter relationship played very well y these two talented actors
