Oh my goodness, having an endoscope top check your shed is brilliant - and very luxurious! 👍👏👏👏🤩 I will have to resort to a mirror next time when I doa duble weave project - the low tech solution. ;-)
Great project for your handspun, I love it! 😍

It's a super helpful tool. I posted a link to one you can purchase on Amazon. They are pretty inexpensive. But a mirror works too. Thanks for watching!

Your blanket is beautiful, literally from sheep to bed. Brilliant tutorial. You answered every worry and question I had. I don't have a huge loom, but I intend to weave a double width throw on my 26 inch baby wolf. And this tutorial has given me the courage and information I need. Thanks so much

I'm so glad you found it helpful. The first double weave I wove was on my 24" 4 shaft table loom. You can do this!

Your video showed very clearly for me how the double weave works. Thanks for making it. I have a 45" 4 shaft loom and would like to make blankets on it and now I think I'll be able to do this. 👍

That's awesome. With a 4 shaft loom you can do any plain weave pattern. A log cabin pattern would look great. Thanks for watching!

I’m late to the party but so giddy watching this! 🎉💖 It’s fascinating. I can’t even imagine the excitement I would be feeling (will feel) when I use all my own hand spun yarn to create a warp of this size. 😮🤯 you are so great at making the coolest color patterns too. I need practice with that for sure. Ok now I’m going to go watch the planning video 👏🏼👏🏼🎉 Totally worth staying until 2 am. 😂

Welcome to the party! I'm so glad you enjoyed my video. I should be done with the blanket this week (if I don't run out of hand spun 😬). Thanks for watching and commenting 😊 Hope you weren't up too late 🤣

It is a very difficult weave structure, too difficult for me, especially using twill, perhaps a very narrow and short tabby weave might be possible for my first effort, but I had better finish my present weave first.

I would definitely recommend trying double weave with a narrow warp and simple pattern for your first try. But once you get the hang of it and understand the technique it’s fairly easy. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Wow! Thank you for sharing? What’s the size of your loom and who is the company?

You're very welcome. The loom is a 56" wide 12-shaft Bergman Countermarch. They are no longer in business and mine was made in the 1940s or 1950s. Thanks for watching.
