Nice run bro 👍 She's a solid all terrain ripper! What I learned from Tomley about chassis slap is, you want the body to hit the ground instead of your shocks taking all the impact. That's what breaks shock towers and bends stuff. I thought the same thing at first "you want the suspension to do the work" but nah, it's just there to soften the blow. That thing would be nuts on 4S & I think if you have a seperate light controller in your wire bundle, they should still work with a different receiver. I like how the thug cat acknowledged your apology 😄 he was like "bro I was sleeping!"😹
@@scaleworksRC I totally agree that chassis slap is good. I’m still on the fence if this is too much. Honestly I don’t have enough experience to tell. I’m looking at my vorteks as I’m writing this and the ride height seems similar to the Mjx. I don’t recall the vorteks slapping as hard. But I could be completely wrong about that. The Mjx is so heavy with metal at the bottom. The chassis slap sounds so loud compared to the vorteks. But m pretty sure that vorteks be slappin too. Regardless every pack with this Mjx is a blast. I really like driving it. Im excited to see 4s. Anyway I have a receiver with a gyro in the mail and I have a few light switches I could use. We’ll see. That cat bro. He’s a stray that runs the neighborhood. He’s punked me a few times. I literally bow my head in respect every time I walk past him 🫡
@@Rangoli_rc Same here on the experience.. haven't messed with 4S on the road yet. I think you're right about the sound being louder because it's metal vs plastic & I kinda like that "whomp" they make😄 I respect the thug cat's grind, just hope he never comes across any coyotes😬
@@jeromepenick2060 it’s a very fun rc. It says a lot about an rc’s handling when I don’t feel the need to throw a gyro on it. Rlaarlo terminator was the same way. I ended up throwing a gyro on that and liked it. Maybe I’ll do the same for this Mjx🤷🏽♂️. But yeah it handles good ✌🏼
You got some nice slow-motion footage. I like the truck but the suspension has got me worried a little bit. I've got one ordered and I've seen where the Granite suspension is perfect for it. So I'm probably gonna switch mine out when I get it. Thanks for the review!
@@timmy4539 agreed. MJX has always had an eye for design. I actually wanted the white body. It reminds me of a Star Wars droid, but that joint was like $60 more expensive
If this turns out to be as solid as the 16series trucks then we got a winner lol & i like the fact that its almost full 1/10 looks like it handles as good as terminater mini🤪👏sounds stelthykinda looks like its handeling like the 9156 rebrand laegendary truck slides around good ya notice that or is just me 🤷♂️time will tell more
@@mikehaberski4596 when you say 16series are you referring to the 1/16th scale? If so I feel it’s literally like those in a 1/10 body. It seems super durable. It’s funny that you mention Laegendary. @@mikehaberski4596 oh tornado. Nah I didn’t get tornado vibes. The tornado has a slow brushed feel to it. In a good way. Unlike the 14210 which is a real handfull even with the Dumbo RX/TX wirh the gyro.
Looks like a Tank 😊
