the 3660. 3150kv. the best motor we can get for it ? anybody know ?
@@JSprayaEntertainment i honestly don’t know. I’ve been waiting for discipline rc to do an upgrade video on the fury. He teased a picture of what looks to be a speed run build. That being said the anatomy of the fury does limit the size of the motor to a degree. You got a good question I’m curious as well
I was hoping to find out the motor size, do you know whats the smallest size that fits? 3652 or 3660?
@@Chronic-strain I would try to use the 3660 if possible. There is an aftermarket motor mount piece that pushes the can out. I may get that to test in my Gorgon.

@@Xionmass yeah I’m still not sure what to think about that break. The way everything is designed makes me feel strength and durability was priority. The only exception to that MAY be the plastic quality. But I’m just speculating 🤔. I’m leaning towards this crash was an unusually freaky break. 🤷🏽♂️. It’s a great rc and I love it ✌🏼
Been watching a bunch of these before I pull the trigger and finally get one. Don't plan on jumping mine either (especially like some do.. 20 ft. or so) probably like what you're doing definitely nothing over a foot. I think the shocks look good - rolling good in the turns. Don't plan on upgrading, but took screenshots just in case I want to upgrade to 3s later on.
@@lylekehrer6159honestly I had the same mentality you did. I really didn’t want to upgrade it. I don’t need it more than 35 mph. But I can’t recommend upgrading to brushless enough. The stock speed was more underwhelming than I anticipated. Once I upgraded to brushless this thing became my favorite rc. It handles so well and the extra power from the brushless setup contributes big time to that excellent handling. I just posted a new video two days ago. it shows how good this performs with the upgrade. ✌🏼

@@scaleworksRC thanks man I love this car so much. Just like you I was totally shocked when the body popped off. The pin system is clever but it seems to be loosening up making it easy for the pins to slip out. I’m thinking of using metal wire that has paper coating. Forget the name but I have a bunch that I got off lettuce and kale. Bread ties? wtf are those called? Anyway a rubber band might work too. I love how the battery is under the chassis so I really never need to take the body off. Have a great week bro✌🏼

Honestly I learn a lot from your channel. I just ordered that winter evenings bearing kit for my tt02. They’re not the ceramic ones but I’ll try them Anyway ✌🏼

I just got my blue Fury about a week ago! Love how it looks/drives, but that brushed motor really limits the speed of these things. I think the 130a 3150kv spektrum motor combo on Ebay can really wake up my car, but I can barely handle my stock 3s vorteks, so I have to improve my skills as a driver too.
@@antwontwontwon2378 I totally agree. The fury was to slow for me in stock form. It’s now one of my favorite rc’s after I upgraded to brushless. It’s funny how I love the stock Gorgon with its brushed motor even though it’s only like a mile per hour faster than the stock fury🤷🏽♂️
@Rangoli_rc I'd love a Gorgon, too. I need that ground clearance! With the bigger wheels and shorter chassis, it sounds about right that the Gorgon moves faster than the fury.
I have the same tires on mine. I love the white letter look, and they handle great. I haven't flipped over yet!

they’re the off road tires that come with the Mjx 14209. In the manual the part #is 14300d2. I checked Amazon to see if they have them but I didn’t see them. Maybe try Mjx website. Hope that’s helpful. Appreciate you checking out the video ✌🏼

Put some oil filled shocks on it then take it for a nice ride. And then when you're done testing out the shocks put a nice set of MJX hyper go tires on it and then take it for a spin with the new shocks and the new tires I think you'll really like it.😊

But you can get a good MJX hyper good for less than 100. Just pay a little extra more and you got a lot better quality in the shocks the tires and not sure what else but at least you're getting an MJX brand. So no I wouldn't pay $75 for this unit. Maybe if I needed one to bash around and not worry about maybe yeah
Hate to say but if u buy parts from laegendary you will get severly overcharged its a vrx & parts are dirt cheep threw ali-expres but dont bash it cause it will break everytime cant run 3s or the cvd’s twist as far as moter &esc great parts moter is 4s but has the small shaft so can easy awsp to better cars esc is ok up to 3s just not in this car only thing i have left of mine is moter wheels & esc

@@scaleworksRC I’m still figuring out how fragile or not this thing is. The first video I posted was the first pack I ran through it and I broke the part that holds the arm pins in. I was able to get replacement stock parts and metal upgraded parts for it but my gut feeling is it’s a big week point. Jury’s still out though. That aside they sell on Amazon for around $125. I got mine on a super sale for $79. If you ever see that super sale jump on it. Honestly I think it’s worth the $125. This joint is fun as hell to drive just don’t bash it hard.

Bro, you got to drive that little tornado on 3S Lipo. It totally changes its performance! That thing is a rocket on 3S trust me man it's fun just keep an eye on the motor. Make sure it doesn't overheat.
@@OB_RC I’ve been thinking of either upgrading the esc so I can get a fan in there or doing a brushless conversion. Hopefully it’s not to hard to get a new 3 wire servo in there. that’s why I’m hesitant to do 3s or any of these upgrades. I got this for $49. To me it’s a cheap basher that’s fast enough for fun but slow so I won’t break anything. I never bought these to upgrade. 🤔🤔🤔 I do have 2. Ok I’ll try 3s for a quick rip and see if I’m inspired.

That TT02 is looking good and running nice! 🫡How are the temps after a run like that?
@@scaleworksRC so it’s the stock tamiya motor with a 90amp brushed Radiolink cl9030 esc. I was running an ovonic 50c 3000mah 3s battery. I put a decent dual fan on the motor. I checked temps about 3 times throughout this run and the average seems to be 115f. I saw 120ish as the highest. I think this is the setup ima rock for a while. I got the aluminum drive shaft in the mail a few days ago and the carbon fiber upper deck should arrive in two weeks.

@@JeremyNathanael-j6k plug n play. They pre glued and fit the stock hex on the Rlaarlo. Go to Amazon and type in “1/10 rc rally wheels 12 mm hex tamiya tt01 tt02” and they should pop up . $18 for all 4. Highly recommended ✌🏼

@@UrbanLegendRC it’s got that IT factor for sure. The only time I drove it stock was in this video. Just finished a brushless conversion last night. That’s the true test in my eyes. Hopefully ill get that video out this weekend ✌🏼

@@scaleworksRC yeah man my mics been slowly dying. Nothing worse than talking for 15 minutes straight, making all my points than realizing my mic didn’t capture it🤪. O well I ain’t in control. I just try to surf the flow. I probably won’t have much to say about the fury in stock form. I ran it once just to make sure I didn’t get a dud. My intention is to go brushless immediately. Just waiting for a pinion gear actually. I will say the Gorgon seems to handle better out the box. Hard to say. Once I got an understanding of how the fury drives it was awesome. Learning curve reminded me of dark souls 😁
@Rangoli_rc lol good analogy. That Gorgon is like fat rolling in Havel's gear 😆 ..I started Elden Ring by the way. Game is freaking amazing so far. I tried uploading a vid but the software takes forever because its a free version. Like you said, gotta take what we get and roll with it 🤷♂️🫡
@@scaleworksRC dude I’ve watched videos on Elden ring showing how rollings a trap. The jump is where the invincibility frames are at. I started a play through when it first came out and couldn’t get my mind around combat. Ima have to give it another shot
@Rangoli_rc yep, I saw that video as well and tried it on Margit.. the first real boss and he slapped me out of the air with that big ass cane 😆 maybe my timing was off, but I'm basically doing a Paladin shield wall build, but I think mastering the parry is god tier in any of these games. I'm definitely gonna try the jump strat throughout the game tho 👍

I just bought the HBX2997a, and these 1/12 scale handle way better compared to the hypergos I've been wrenching and bashing with. I want to get this, and the habile from WL toys, perfect size for a backpack, and plenty of space in the trunk for all 3!
Totally agree. The more time I spend with 1/12 and 1/10 vehicles the harder it is to do the 1/16 scales. In regards to this am-d12 I’ve become a big fan.
Certified ripper on 3S 👍 and the plastic is firm but flexible, so it can take those tumbles no problem.. one major plus to HBX. I got the 3100A from watching your vids, but the poor thing is sitting in pieces after the steering started to loosen up. This 2997A is a tempting buy! 🤔🫡
@@scaleworksRC totally agree and I feel there’s more potential to unlock. Ima upgrade that servo and maybe look into some tire options. Sorry about that 3100a🤦🏽♂️ I still flirt with getting it up n running again. But right now it looks like a rotisserie chicken that’s been picked down to the bone. As far as haiboxing I think that 903a is my next purchase. I have the Bezgar version so I’m in no rush but I love that platform and something about that grey checkered body is doing it for me. @Rangoli_rc lol that's how my MJX is looking right now, but I gotta pick a few more parts off before it's trash worthy. I was thinking of getting the V2 3100A and use the one I have for parts. The good thing also, is those wheels fit on 1/10 scale cars that have big steering arms 👍
@@Rangoli_rc Also, no need to apologize about the 3100A.. it was a good truck for the time, has useful spare parts, and definitely worth the money at the time. The Fury is what's up though! Can't wait to see that joint run 👀👍
I ordered a carbon fiber just yesterday Is there anything i should do or check or adjust out of the box before I power it up?
@@francostacy7675 sorry to say but I’m still new to the hobby. I’m not the best person to ask for rc advice. That being said I do have a few Rlaarlo rc’s and I’ve noticed that some have had loose screws out the box. My terminator didn’t have any loose screws and I felt the overall quality control was good. But go ahead and double check those screws just to be safe. OH YEAH watch some UA-cam videos explaining the controller. It was the most confused I’ve ever been in regards to a transmitter. Congrats on the new rig by the way. It might be my favorite rc. I love it so much I’m planning on getting the regular version with the yellow body.✌🏼
