The first version ever of Resident Evil 4 for Nintendo Gamecube. Many things diferent than the final game.. weapon sounds, voices, movements, treasures, etc. Played on Dolphin 5.0
Normally when I see demos, I find things that I wish they included in the final game instead. In this demo, I can't say that I would've preferred anything at all other than maybe the sound of the pistol. They completely made huge improvements in every single way.
There are some improvements. The knife swing is further so the knife here is technically better. The reload system is a lot better cause you can just go into you're inventory and then reload your weapons like that. Do you know how op that would've been in like the salazar bossfight
It's definitely a good thing they binded the knife to the L button in the final game. Having to go into the inventory every time you wanted to break some barrels or boxes would have sucked.
that's why demos are a good thing, having lots of play testers will make them realize something is a way bigger issue than they might have thought. The knife thing seems obvious though

Capaz que hasta las actuaciones eran DEMO, sin mucho esfuerzo haha, sin duda evolucionó para bien, para aquel entonces una decisión era crucial, ya que no se contaba con actualizaciones o descargas para corregir los juegos.
Lo de los dialogos eso si lo mejoraron además lo curioso es que ese demo reciclo unos cuantos audios del remake de RE1 como sonido del arma de León reutiliza el audio de la handgun del remake de RE1 curiosamente el audio de recarga se mantuvo en la Matilda curiosamente,menos mal que arreglaron unas cuantas cosas además iba ser tedioso el uso del cuchillo menos mal que lo volvieron un arma integral. Sin duda algunas cosas eran diferentes.

I really like some of the features of this demo that didn't make it to the final product. I doubt I would have carried the knife for long unless it worked like the one in Code Veronica. This was a great find though!

You could argue it didn't NEED a remake, but it sure as hell wasn't a quick cash grab (like the the last of us 'remake') since they did a whole overhaul of the gameplay and story
Paul Mercier’s interpretation of Leon’s voice in this demo version of ‘05 RE4 has more guff compared to the final built of the game in my opinion because the way he delivered his sentences sounds like it has a strong enervated tone that makes it audibly slightly grim.

I'm watching this on march 28 2023 while playing the remake. And no matter how amazing of a game the remake is (it truly has lived up to the hype), the original on the gamecube will always hold a special place in my heart till the day i die! Thanks for uploading.

I've got this demo as well and yeah a lot of things where changed in the final version for the better/worse. Honestly I wish they kept Item inventory to simple, 1 slot for each item. However it was a good move the put the knife shoulder button instead, switching between the knife and gun would've been a nightmare if the left that in.
Well I should've said I've gotten an ISO dump of this demo. I have a habit of archiving all beta's/demo's/alpha-build's regarding when it comes to resident evil.

Me gusta mas como suena la escopeta en esta version jajaja. Muy parecido al sonido que emite la escopeta de Ada en la version final (Separate Ways). Por lo demas estuvo bien el cambio, de echo no se puede apreciar a la ganado María en el pueblo, supongo no tenían planificado meter personajes femeninos como enemigos. Pequeño detalle :v

Imagine always having to pause the game to switch to the knive.

Inventory reload should not be a thing in RE4, since it would make upgrading reload speed pointless and make the game far less tense.
