Cool I guess! Will it be force feed still? Not that it matters for 10.whatever BPS.

halo just needs a shell redisign and it'll fit in to modern hoppers just fine.

While I would totally rock one, the drive system needs to be simplified. There's nothing better for burst speed and feed consistency than an old Halo B, but dear God they were always a nightmare to clean the drive mechanism if you broke a ball and it got under the tray. But at least they got rid of all the screws here. I have broken so many halos over the years by just tightening a screw. This shell looks like the old Hybrid shell for the Halo B from back in the day, just with clamps instead of screws.

The battery life on the Halo is terrible by modern standards. Not that I wouldn't run a halo with one of these new shells though.

I mean its cool and all that it looks like this is basically going to be a toolless halo shell. Although can we just bring back the PROPHECY? The PROPHECY was basically the perfected Halo.

If they released a new Z3. Just simpler to disassemble and integrated motor to the drive gear.

While I would totally rock one, the drive system needs to be simplified, and i hope they can do that while still keeping that spring pressure on the stack like the old Halo B.

But at least it seems they got rid of all the screws here. I have broken so many halo shells over the years by just tightening a screw or having one a bit too tight and then gently bumping the nose of the hopper into a Dorito and *_crack._* This shell looks like the old Hybrid shell for the Halo B from back in the day, just with clamps instead of screws.

Looks like an old empire prophecy to me

Can someone help me understand why you would want a Halo over modern top hoppers?

why spend more when less is same... tbh.

Well the old halo Bs were the best for uncapped semi. There's nothing faster still today, but with the 10 bps cap that's kind of irrelevant. I know a lot of guys that still have Halo Bs rolling around in their bag because they don't want to spend 200+ on a newer hopper. If they sell this as a shell that takes the old internals I could see a lot of people picking one up. You get a lot of the $200 hopper amenities on something you've already got. But if they charge $150+ for this thing and don't sell the shell separately, I agree this thing is dead in the water. There's no reason to get this over the other alternatives if it's only saving you 30-50 bucks.

Because paying $200-$250 for a hopper is just dumb to me.

I mean what’s the point….. Halo had their moment of glory a ways back. And if internals are the same then I can’t imagine it having more capacity with a newer shell or a more efficient feed system. They should just sell the after market shell as a separate piece and people can take their used halos and convert them

That would be a great idea, but then they cant sell you new hopper.

They've run out of ideas. Repackage and have teams use them. Throw them in the sponsor packages.
It's peer pressure and identification marketing.
Basically a very lazy to refuse innovation.

Its actually a good idea, you get a Halo with modern features and add another hopper in the $100-150 range and people obviously like them because they keep selling. Having better speed feed options and ability to clean and disassemble the hopper is nothing but good so I really don't understand why they wouldn't do this if anything they should of done it sooner .

@@BAGofTALENT yeah but would you actually buy one over an LT-R or the extremely underrated Sonic. I certainly wouldn’t

    • @BAGofTALENT
      @BAGofTALENT 3 місяці тому

@@awol10199 well I wouldn't but other people would and are with the current Halo. I run spire because it's the best , but people who want options that are cheaper I say the Halo is a proven platform and with current features being added it's a good solid option, I mean a professional paintball team is using them so they obviously work good .

Not a fan of the h3 design. The spire 3 latch with Halo body would look sick.
