Somehow everyone who builds one of these “secret rooms” seems to forget about ventilation. With a PC on, that room will get hot and uncomfortable in a matter of minutes and it would become unbearable very quickly
didnt she already play in the closet before so shes most likely used to it... as some other guy said you can just put a fan in there and it should be all good
besides the whole modifying a rental, which Colby highlighted lol, the foam hex wall could have been done with a bit more time and care, the whole left side and bottom wasn't square. I also wonder whether the whole space stinks like paint and given the limited airflow, how long until the paint scent goes away. it was also cool to see you can get neon led rope decorations at wallmart.
my best friend in the world is a carpenter and there's nothing that makes him happier than building stuff, watching your enthusiasm about what you do made me think of him and thinking back on how I used to watch him create things all the time and how happy he would be to explain the process and show me the finished product. Hes stuck in the grasps of addiction right now and has been for a while, praying that one day i'll get to watch him do this stuff again, until then ill watch you guys (:
priority #1 shouldve been ventilation.. I skipped through most of the video but didn't see any exhaust or air conditioning.. her and the computer are going to melt inside there if there isn't any ventilation
She is a very lucky girl. Great job, mate. I highly recommend finding a solution for ventilation though. Also make yourself (with your editing setup and this PC setup) get a proper gaming (for her) and productivity (for yourself) PC monitor (any shape and size you like) it will make a huge difference over TLC 40 something inch TVs, trust me you're going to love the fact how much better they are for the task.
The idea is great. But there are a few things that bother me... There is no ventilation. I have a small PC room just for gaming. It is 30 square ft. If I game for 2-3 hours, with my window open, the room temperature goes up to 32°C/89°F. My PC hardly produces any heat. But with the addition of monitors etc, it still gets hot. And your tiny place will be a saune within minutes. The PC. Well, you might not know any better, but that PC will have a hard time with such a small 120mm AIO, fully closed front of the case and the high room temperature. A better case and cooling is highly suggested! The "Monitor". As you said, its is a TV. Not a monitor. She is probably not very picky, nor a "hardcore gamer". But it makes a huge difference to play on a decent 150-200 USD monitor, than on a cheap, oversized TV. TVs (especially cheap ones) have horrible input latency, reaction time and picture quality. Also most of them have only 60hz. My suggestion: 1. Get a small portable AC unit, that she can power on when shes gaming. And add a few small fans at the top of the newly build wall, to move the hot air out into the closet. 2. Buy a decent 24" 1080p 144hz or 27" 1440p 144hz monitor to replace the TV. It will make her gaming sessions a much better experience. It will also produce less heat. Just my two cents. Overall its a great project and I enjoyed watching it.
I have no clue how people can wast so much of their lives “gaming”. If you game for 2-3 hours? Straight? Get out into the world my man! Hopefully you guys get past this addiction.
@x4lgious does being an adult that plays video games for hours on end make you fun at parties? I only know two men that do that and they are boring as hell at parties bc they have no social skills

Chay's girlfriend while starting gaming: Woah its kinda cold in here, anyways lets start gaming! Also chay's girlfriend while ending gaming: GET ME OUTTA HERE ITS SO HOT AHHH
I really like the idea and it looks damn cool. But in reality, what about all the heat it generates while gaming? It really needs proper cooling, ventilation, a real HVAC system.
i would recommend a mouse pad and a fan as the room is going to get very hot and the mouse will feel much better, other then that cheers for another banger
The only things I would change is the size of the door, it could be way taller, and put some little open windows on the top to provide more ventilation.
Cool gaming room 👍 Just 2 things that im a little worried about. That gpu in that pc looks kinda small so its probably not the most powerful one, so it might not be able to run games on 4k. And second, that room will get very hot, because its so small and there is no ac (as far as I can tell) pc's just generate alot of heat.

It’s really fascinating an interesting intriguing as well to see the type of gaming room. It’s really a very cool looking as well and wonderful and awesome.😮😊❤

Obviously LOOKS cool but would 100% not be for me. Too small/claustrophobic, going in and out of that door every time would get old very quickly for me as I’m tall with bad knees and it would just be a chore and crucially, as others have mentioned, fans and ventilation are desperately needed. I’d melt in there after about ten minutes.

Yeah, I give it MAYBE 15 minutes and it's over.
Just put a box fan and you'll be fine😁
didnt she already play in the closet before so shes most likely used to it... as some other guy said you can just put a fan in there and it should be all good
literally what i was gonna say. The ventilation is way worse than before, as it is completely blocked from the door into the closet.
ceiling vent.. duh
This is such a cool idea. But man, I can already tell how hot it’s going to be in there with the PC running. Hope there’s ventilation
exactly !

Yeah bro, I'm in the same situation with my setup in my room. All doors must be left open to allow hot air to leave

@Ryan1243 hi
Looks great! For real tho u have the space above the ceiling, you could stick a vent fan up there to blow out of the closet.
The only things I would change is the size of the door, it could be way taller, and put some little open windows on the top to provide more ventilation.
