- You may recognize her as one of the streamers who played Among Us with an American Congresswoman, the first female content creator to join the ranks of 100 Thieves, or maybe you know her as the fastest growing streaming personality of 2020.
But before she was known for any of that, Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter's life was very different. She was working three jobs to put herself through community college, all while staring down challenges and heartbreak that changed her life forever. This is her story.

I remember when she admitted that she went on a deal with UA-cam was for the sake of securing a better and stable finances. The fact that she wholeheartedly said and how it will help her and her mom shows that she will do lengths to support her mom all the way. What a good example of a daughter.

@@luistrevino7800 It's only a sellout when companies or people trade their principles/values for money. For example, a UA-camr makes a deal with a company and changes the whole style of content they produced, despite the viewers not liking it, or something their platform wasn't built upon. At least that's my definition of a sellout.
she was also being honest about what she needed and wasn’t afraid to tell us. i really admire her for that, she’s definitely one of my role models.

exactly !! she never starts drama intentionally or bash anyone, men or women. she’s sometimes outspoken but i wouldn’t go as far as to say she’s rude, more just blunt and honest since she doesn’t want any misunderstandings. it’s really sad to see sykkuno, toast, and corpse’s fandom hate on her sometimes cuz she’s a good person and would never hurt her friends intentionally.

At first I thought she wasn’t likeable. From watching Toast’s live everyone is saying she is annoying but I started watching her streams. She is soooooo likeable I can’t believe some people hate her. The thing about Rae is, she is genuine. It just shows. I’m literally new to this streaming thing/world/stanning IDK but I fell inlove with her attitude and how she treats people around her. It reflects what she had experienced for the past years.
Same. I saw her from Toast's vods, same with Sykkuno. And unlik e Sykk, she had a bad image with his fans, and I thought she was indeed annoying, but hell nah. She's fun to watch, especially in her perspective. The caffeine effects, on her, was so funny to watch, especially when she plays Among Us. She gets so "maniac" in killing, even when she's not the impostor lmao.
I love how much fun she has. Her energy is so fun!

I am so glad youtube recommended her. Ever since I got recommended by her around august 2020.(before she had a big gain in viewers) I have been watching ever UA-cam video and stream she has done. Rae is just so likeable and I don’t get the hate that people give her.

Very genuine streamer and she really acknowledges her viewers. I’ve watch her streams and have commented several times and she would almost always answer my questions or would gladly take advice I would give her. She’s so wholesome.

3 reasons on why i respect Rachell Hofstetter:
1) rae seems like the person who doesn’t put any filters on - she isn’t scared to show her inner chaotic self and she doesn’t even bother to try and hold up a “perfect image” to the media. she appreciates all the donations: even if it’s just a single dollar. she loves all her friends that she recently met and has always mentioned how she is very grateful that she got this far in life.
2) she does not take things for granted - even though rae is successful, she did not forget where she came from. she visits her family often and she has a beautiful relationship with them.
3) rae is strong - after the sykkuno incident, many people in tiktok is practically bullying her (like calling her a clown or just plain harassing her). at that time, she just lost a very close relative. she tries her best not to break down on her livestream and still provides good content for us.

@@penono so in one of sykkuno’s recent stream (which was deleted), he trolled a lot. so since sykkuno was trolling, rae and toast were teasing him about it for fun. moments later, sykkuno suddenly turned off his cam and people assume he was crying.
most people thought that it was rae and toasts fault, which made no sense lol. sykkuno already cleared up that he was having a bad day and the chat was very toxic atm. people refuse to believe it and still continue to bully n harass rae and toast.
