Sad to hear they are following BRP and moving some production to Mexico. The reason I am such a big Kawasaki fan is that their products are top on quality and durability- namely because they are built in Japan and USA. I guess BRP undercut the US labor market and now others must do the same to remain competitive. Another nail in the coffin for USA manufacturing.
Glad to see Kawi make the effort. They have a great potential to increase market share. One change I would make is do away with the multiple decks and just have one. Also improve the extended deck to have quick detach accessories like the LINQ system.
Meanwhile, has been globally promoting " Big Combined Manufacturing as it's business strategy through efficient division of labour with a focus on reducing equipment investment and making efficiency use of factory throughout the Kawasaki group.
Thanks for sharing Kevin. That’s quite a bit of information to be excited about. I total agree, love some good competition! It’s good for everyone end result. Let The Good Times Roll
Looks like Kawi did it right this time, the new SxS Ridge engine looks like the same platform as the Triple Rotax ACE 900 HO used on the mavericks x3's and the Sea Doo Sparks. 1000cc 4 cylinder designed to run hard on hot climates? great, add the just patented supercharger and you can get 200+ hp on a small package, they will phase out the 1500cc on the STX for sure, now they can compete with a Spark like model and or use the new engine platform as a very entry level with better price, now they have the right engine.
Yes the fuekl econ has to change i had a kawa for 14. Yrs had to change i could squeze 85 mile on tank 110 wirh seadoo and i go 50 times a season thats 1000 buck in gas and the fsh pro no thanks 310 for 10 yr its time
@@jorbedo do you work at Kawasaki? I’m Facebook friends with the former QE of the watercraft division. He and I have discussed some of Kawasaki’s plans
Hi Kevin Off topic question and i was gathering if anyone might know the issue it would be you , What was tye issue with the early 310r piston cracking issues ? Was it a oistons issue or tune issue ? I have done 2 now and they were both on cylinder 4,
The original 2014 310R engines used hypereutectic (compressed powdered metal) pistons until mid-production 2016. You're better off ordering the 2017-up cast pistons as a stock replacement.
And they are leaving the door open for an SXR-R model 🤣 A SC H2R motor in the standup…I know it will never happen but would be a kick in the butt to ride 💪🏻 (and not legal to race anywhere 😂🤷🏻♂️)
Kevin, i need your help. I have a 2019 Yamaha FX SVHO and the thought about my hull delaminating is driving me crazy. (i just bought it used) I am thinking of trading it in for a 2024 Kawasaki Ultra 310 or a 2024 Yamaha FX HO. I'm torn between keeping what I have only because a brand new ski will be a lot more money for me to dish out. What route do you think i should go? Thanks!
Jeez, you’ve let the internet whip you into a frenzy. What causes delamination? Gouged and ruined paint. All (every single one besides the SJ) are painted so it doesn’t matter what you buy brand new. Just don’t jack up the hull. I’ve done 20 videos on this. Watch a couple.
Not really keen on this fishing model. I guess there is a big market for these skis. I love Kawasaki as a brand, when it come to engine and super chargers on motorcycles and jetskis, I think they have the most character and my gosh do they sound good . I’m not a fan of the newer designs by Kawasaki. But that’s just my opinion, Good to see what else Kawasaki will bring out in the future in regards to a faster and lighter hull and more of a performance machine.
@@jorbedo, I don’t think weight is as much of a factor has is hull shape. Kawis ride deeper because of the deep V hull. Yamaha got away from nano because of hull delaminating and the fact that SMC fiberglass absorbs chatter/vibration resulting in a smoother ride
Completely disappointed to hear they are manufacturing in Mexico. Obviously better than China but one of the main reasons for my loyalty for 33 years has been Made in USA. Kawasaki definitely needs to cut prices if they want to expand their market. Back in 2008 they slashed the prices of the 15F and that is by far the most popular model year of that ski. After that year they progressively raised the price and cheapened the product. Removed one of the water boxes and did away with the tiedown cleats etc. One thing Kawasaki can hang their hat on is that they select some great product names. Jet Ski, Ninja, Mule For example are iconic and basically Define their market segment. The new Angler name is a great name.
If the price of their Angler is not significantly less than the fish pro it will struggle to sell. As always thank you for the great content and providing this platform for discussion
The best skis but the company keeps not doing enough... They need to improve the stxs make a non SC ski that can actually compete with the new yamis 1900... The angler needs a lot more than a cooler and bump stops Honestly..

Let's go Kawasaki!
The fish ski leaves a lot to be desired

I have a feeling we’ll see something in the coming years tbh. Let the horsepower wars begin!

Dude the Ninja H2 engine in the STX-160 would be a death trap. Like OMG I can’t even imagine the insanity that could bring
It is coming, thanks to the new ridge 4 cyl 1000cc inline engine!!!

A lighter hull will behave like the Sub Doo ST3 hull, that's why Yammi moved away from nanoxcell materials, even at the expense of increasing weight.

Need to come up with a drier hull design, but some nice features
If you want to be dry, don’t ride a jet ski bro

That’s not a bad idea, but I wouldn’t change the Ultra hull. Create a new model.
