Hi, I have found much same and transcendent comfort in music in general and with Dimash especially. I was a touring concert violinist when a serious brain injury put my career to an abrupt halt. Don't know how much time passed when I was dead inside. When I first heard Dimash I instantly felt an ethereal gauze over that wound which has mercifully and enigmatically healed. Beautiful honest reaction!! Guess what, glorious music, meaningful lyrics and quality vocals turn many many tear ducts on, even with grumpy old men like me. So when Dimash is giving us the vocals it's a done deal, just grab the tissues and accept it as part of being human.
This was his first song he performed in Mandarin. He learned it in one week🤯. Another very emotional song (if you need another again) is Daybreak also from the Singer competition. I highly recommend the version from the Gloria Wu channel and then to the Bastau version.That's a very sad, but true story. And beside the sad story Dimash lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak at the Singer Competition. He had a severe sore throat that day. He was in such pain. You can see how concerned the other competitors were. They knew he was not doing well and one oft them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. You can see how they suffered with him. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. He made very good friends there. After the performance he lost his voice again. heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from a doctor in the hospital so that he could sing at all. And don't worry, never be sorry for crying. What a really genuine reaction. Always remember, Dimash does his level best to really feel the song in each performance, then really make you feel what he feels, that's his "super-power". If in the moment you're feeling vulnerable or sad already, listening to Dimash sing a really sad song will certainly make you cry, I've found it kind of helpful and nothing to be ashamed of. This is the Chinese version of the song I originally suggested to you called Ikanaide. Ikanaide ("don't go or please don't go") performed by Dimash in Japanese for the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival is also sad but the lyrics are difficult to find and not available on the best version of the song on Dimash's website. Because this is a live studio recording the audio is crystal clear and you can hear every breath. I love this song and this version is really special. He has done some excellent versions since then, more powerful but I love the more vulnerable quality of this one. It suited the younger Dimash. But every version he does a bit different. Dimash is my escape from the miseries of everyday life. No one ever in my 67 years has ever touched me and made me feel like he makes me feel. I listened to an interview with a Lebanese music therapist Dr Hamda Farhat who said she and many other therapists only use Dimash’s music in their therapy now. She explained his vocal ability like I have never heard it explained before. His songs are meant to make us experience many emotions So cry away with the rest of us 😊

Ty for the courage to share this wonderful reaction with us. I discovered Dimash over 4 years ago with his show opening performance of SOS from this same Chinese competition in 2017. This particular performance also from the 2017 I Am Singer competition is one of my favorites all time from Dimash. He learned to sing this song in Mandarin phonetically in one week. He was very nervous leading in to the performance because the song was very well known in China as well as the backstory to the song itself. Watch the full version of the performance from the Gloria Wu channel for the backstory and glimpses of Dimash preparing for the show. I love the connection of the crowd with Dimash. They react very emotionally. The translation from Mandarin to English is very weak and very oversimplified but still touches the heart. Music at it's best reaches our emotions and our hearts. I'm a guy and this song is sung so well by Dimash that it makes me tear every time I listen to it. This is the best version of Autumn Strong I've ever heard ( and better than his later versions too )... Dimash truly grasped the meaning of the lyrics and showcased the emotions in his singing.

This is the Chinese version of the song I originally suggested to you called Ikanaide. Ikanaide ("don't go or please don't go") performed by Dimash in Japanese for the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival is also sad but the lyrics are difficult to find and not available on the best version of the song on Dimash's website. I love this song and this version is really special. He has done some excellent versions since then, more powerful but I love the more vulnerable quality of this one. It suited the younger Dimash. But every version he does a bit different. Dimash is my escape from the miseries of everyday life. No one ever in my 67 years has ever touched me and made me feel like he makes me feel. I listened to an interview with a Lebanese music therapist Dr Hamda Farhat who said she and many other therapists only use Dimash’s music in their therapy now. She explained his vocal ability like I have never heard it explained before. His songs are meant to make us experience many emotions So cry away with the rest of us 😊

Ty for the courage to share this wonderful reaction with us. I discovered Dimash over 4 years ago with his show opening performance of SOS from this same Chinese competition in 2017. This particular performance also from the 2017 I Am Singer competition is one of my favorites all time from Dimash. He learned to sing this song in Mandarin phonetically in one week. He was very nervous leading in to the performance because the song was very well known in China as well as the backstory to the song itself. Watch the full version of the performance from the Gloria Wu channel for the backstory and glimpses of Dimash preparing for the show. I love the connection of the crowd with Dimash. They react very emotionally. The translation from Mandarin to English is very weak and very oversimplified but still touches the heart. Music at it's best reaches our emotions and our hearts. This performance certainly is music at it's best and of course, Dimash is one of a kind. He is a gift to this world. Please keep up the good work on your channel. Hugs and thanks again for sharing.

I'm a guy and this song is sung so well by Dimash that it makes me tear every time I listen to it. This is the best version of Autumn Strong I've ever heard ( and better than his later versions too )... Dimash truly grasped the meaning of the lyrics and showcased the emotions in his singing.
