Hey, I'm 17 (from France) and I have a heart failure and chronic juvenile arthritis so I also spend pretty much time in the hospital.. I like watching your videos and how you deal with a chronic illness, you are so inspiring, I mean you are always smiling and you never show any weakness (not sure that makes sense sorry 😁) and you are quite an example for me so thank you so much to give me joy while I'm stuck and bored in the hospital 😌💪

It's so good to have the Kinder Eggs to enjoy! They are so fun. I hope the Zofran helped, and you got some relief from the queasy feelings. Mary, you are sure in my thoughts and prayers this weekend, and with the surgery for Monday - Peter and Ollie, are in my prayers, too!
PS I meant to say I think that ChocoTaco must have been rather old, sadly. A long time ago, I had one. The shell, which is like an ice cream cone, was nice and crunchy. It was a reasonably good frozen treat. Nowadays my favorite frozen treat is grape juice popsicles (Outshine brand). They make other flavors, too. It's nice to have a cold treat and be able to get some vitamins at the same time. It's nice, light, and refreshing.
So glad things are going well, well as far as no reactions. We were on vacation this week and couldn't watch your vids...I started watching when we got home and my hubby asked,"Hey Hon, how's Mary doin?" Thumbs up for Kinder and way up higher for continued non-allergic reaction and no headache!
It's always so inspiring watching how you both approach these challenges with such grace and positivity. Thank you for sharing your journey with the world. It reminds me no matter what there are always things to be grateful for and like you say "find the bright spot".

I am so glad your not feeling allergy symptoms from that drug!! And I'm so excited that those PFT's were improved! Whatever you are doing, you are rocking it!! I know what you mean about feeling stir crazy in that room! I spent 2 full years completely bedridden and it was horrible! I missed out on so many of our children's activities, it was awful! I used to dream about going places and always felt sad when I woke up to my reality! But today I'm grateful for what I can do out in the world. It isn't much, but it's enough. (If that makes sense,.). The Lord provides for my every need and I've learned to be content. Blessings as you prepare for Monday's procedures! Praying you through this time visiting the Castle Queen Mary! ;)

the sale squirts water! Yes Peter. love these! I understand the work put in, medication, side effects and the toll it all takes on our bodies. The most important thing though is that you keep at it and you do and you are rocking this Mary! Love your positive thinking. I have positive thinking to and find ways to have fun, even on bad days. I had a punch biopsy done on my leg that is higher than I wanted or expected. I am a slow healer because of several immunodeficiency conditions and diseases. I gave 3 stiched so can't walk around which is a bummer. However I bought a new adult colouring book for relaxation and am having fun doing this and my art! yay! heehee xo

I just want to say it is a real joy watching your video's you guys make me laugh most days . Have been depressed this week. A friend of mine passed away this week. I have known her for three years have been going to dialysis 3 tmes a week together. Very unexpected and fairly young . I know she Is in a better place and look forward to seeing her again someday.

I was in a children's room in a regular hospital (it's all we have here) and it was a ocean we sat there for a good hour and a half so it was nice to look at, I am a child and was in they emergency room. I was sent there after a high blood sugar and was diagnosed with type one diabetes 😒 but like you said a couple of vlogs ago there are worse things that happen to other people so I am ok with it and I am learning all sorts of new things sorry for the long comment
you guys are so awesome and such a great teat together. and we can't leave Ollie out he is such a cute pup. Mary you are always in my prayers. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer since Feb 2015 which has spread to my bones and some organs. I use oxygen since then because I have a tumor in my rt lung and peaces in my left lung. love you guys hope all works out for you.

Kinder eggs are the best! I have the entire line of the ones that squirt water. I have been collecting them since I was little, so 24+ years now. My mom loves them too. We put them in shadow boxes. We get very excited when my grandmother sends packages from Germany. Also, in the US you can buy Yowie chocolate candies that are the same concept as Kinder eggs. I get them at Walmart, but you can buy them online also. It is a plastic container with a surprise in the middle and chocolate over that shaped as a "yowie" monster. They are made by Cadbury, but the chocolate, in my option, is not as good as Kinder. But, honestly, who eats the chocolate? The surprise is what really matters ;)
Hey Peter and Mary and of course Hi oli boy I just wanted to say while I am trying to catch up I see the title of the post and I really hope you are doing at least a little better. Your UA-cam channel and you both are such an inspiration to me. Every time I watch it I get pumped up and happy and want to do better fight this disease live life and be stronger in my faith. I will be forever grateful to the both of you for starting this UA-cam channel and continuing it throughout your journey the past couple years.

Everyday when I come home from school I run into my room put a sign on my door that says "stay out UA-cam watching in progress" then I watch TheFreyLife😂 I always look forward to that peace and quiet in my room after school😂. +thefreylife

Just shows never give up hope as one day something might help your health. I know I struggle with hope as currently my main condition is untreatable and hardly even manageable through lifestyle changes either. 😂
*HUGS* Hope IS hard, some days just trying to keep your head above water, and some days it's just...things are worse...I hope things improve for you soon...but this video is great because it shows a small improvement but after only getting worse, it's amazing...I hope you have your hope rewarded soon, prayers and love your way!
you can buy different surprise eggs at Wal-Mart. my 3 year old is obsessed with them and i buy them for her. they don't have chocolate or anything around them.

Surgery will actually be tomorrow...and then it will all depend on recovery and a number of other factors for when I will be going home.

I have to skip through when you are coughing as I have a phobia of other people throwing up and if someone coughs or makes a gagging noise it can make my heart beat faster. I'm on Zofran right now too :) I just got diagnosed with Gastroparesis and I'm going to be in the hospital next Wednesday for a Gastric Emptying Study where I'm going to be radioactive for the day :)
I've done that study before and I watched the radio active egg particles float around on the screen for 3 hours. haha...riveting ;) I hope it turns up helpful results so that you can come up with a good treatment plan! Hang in there!

I hope zofran helped...hopefully if you keep needing it, it might help to take it before you need it (for me, when I REALLY get nauseous, it doesn't help much, vs it helps more if I take it earlier, but I also don't know if it causes it's own side effects for you)
Stir crazy in the hospital is REAL...I'm glad you have buddies and kinder eggs...HAHA, you screamed from dolphin excitement and my dog Rei-Rei was concerned and sniffed me and my phone to make sure I was ok, lol...he's a good boy! (He's needs a LOT of work on obedience outside the house, so he's not really near being a service dog at the moment, but he is amazing and is completely attentive to me at home and has been a God send for my PTSD...he's a rescue and he's just wonderful, I swear if ever a dog could request to be a service dog, he does and has...poor guy is always confused about why I wouldn't take him out with me when I have to leave the house and be knows I'm anxious- I tell him he has to take care of the house, but he doesn't believe me, especially since his two rescue sisters are home, too, he's like, "ma, you're anxious, look, I know you will feel better with me and I'll keep you from getting overwhelmed in a flashback (he alerts/comforts me when I start getting anxious, before I am really aware, and he notices before my bff even, and reminds me to take deep breaths and...he IS my service dog in the house, he knows several tasks to mitigate my disabilities...we have much work to do while outside or at the pet store, etc...he would be almost ok if he didn't howl like his guts might come out when he sees another dog, haha.. he wants to play or say hi, or tell me, "MOM! DOG! IT'S A DOG! A REAL DOG!"...yes, Rei, you live with two of them, I'm familiar with the species... "BUT DOG! DOOOOWWWWWAAAAGGG! AROOOOO"...yeah, kid...we got some serious work to do, lol...
it's sort of overwhelming trying to train him to help with my PTSD/TBI/various other things, because he trained himself to always monitor how I'm doing, and he knew when I was getting into thought patterns, and he has helped me SO much...he keeps me grounded in reality which is just...it's miraculous, honestly...I still have flashbacks, but I have a grounding in reality when he is here, and I haven't self injured in several months, which is really strongly correlated with him giving me support and knowing when my brain is getting into that mindset, and he is always there with at least his head or paws, sometimes I'll have him sit his whole 35 pound butt on me, and he's just there and I don't have to feel entirely lost in replaying horrific events- they become more like thinking about it, or watching it on a movie and realizing it's not happening right now...before he showed me that he knew whatever it is that alerts him to my anxiety, and me teaching him how to help calm me (and before fostering then adopting him), flashbacks were SO much more entirely reliving events, hardly knowing on hard nights (or at some moments not knowing) that it was in the past, that I'm safe now.
He's just amazing and he's helped me in ways I can't even explain- in public I pretend he's with me and THAT helps, lol...someday, though, we will get trained so he CAN act like the gentleman that Ollie is...Rei is very eager to please and learn, and he knows tasks to mitigate my disability...he just doesn't know be quiet, but there are much greater challenges in the world, you keep things in perspective, and self training a service dog is hard, especially when they aren't a puppy, he's about two now, and I know there are odds stacked against us, if I had the money I would have someone work with him because it's hard to train him to help PTSD when I have PTSD, lol...but we are both motivated, and it's hard, but I also have this gift of a dog that his main focus in life is keeping me calm and safe and well, and he does it amazing, he's almost a self training dog, lol...he's also very food motivated, and there are so many examples of training for obedience (and not barking like a mad man, lol) on UA-cam, so how amazing is THAT?

Anyways, thank you both and Ollie for brightening my night...(and I would NEVER try and gain public access without my dog being completely behaved, I don't ever want to give service dogs any bad publicity)

I'm SO glad that something finally seems to be helping you, even though I know it is still overwhelming daily, I am sure (I'm also sure that I don't REALLY know or get it, just that I can try and imagine, which still doesn't come close to living it)
thank you guys for sharing your journey! you make me want to video blog, lol...I'm pretty sure it would be a lot of me talking about how dogs are cute and dogs are dogs and doggies...at least they know what species they are, even if they don't know how to be quiet (they typically ARE quiet-beagles get a bad rap because they beagle...which is a verb in my house, haha...aka make ridiculous howling bay sounds...but they always have a reason...mine are quiet most the day, and they DO love getting to ruin and play at the park, but hounds tend to be pretty laid back and chill...which I'm grateful for, because somedays I end up needing to sleep much of the day...but most beagles people know are bored because they are used for hunting or just haven't gotten to smell enough different things in awhile...so they will howl if you don't give them any mental stimulation...when I feel like crap, they still get to enjoy "scavenger hunt" where I hide treats all around the house or yard and they go around and sniff sniff sniff with joy! But around the house, my little Abigail makes expressive grumbles and grunts...Haha, it makes me happy, so I giggle and she grumbles about THAT ;-) ...but they usually have some sort of reason...though the reason may be announcing to the neighbors that they are out in the yard for a potty! It's very exciting ;-)
