Your drills have shown exponential growth in my son & me! We’ve watched you for a year now, putting all your drills into work! He’s now playing 14U AAA, as well as playing in a Men’s wooden bat league, & hits very well in both! Speed doesn’t matter, stuff is irrelevant, he puts your drills to work & is winning bc of it! His BA stays above .500!! Thank you sir for giving your game out for free!
I've been following you for almost 2 years now. In fact you're the only person on the net I follow. There is a level of discomfort in trying to get a kid to do this. Luckily, I ran into someone that met you and led my child in this drill. I think now that my kid did this drill, and you took the time to give a bit in depth on what the drill looks like I'll give it a shot myself and in leading it. Save me a spot, Richard. I'm bringing you 2 switch hitters to work with. Save. Me. A Spot.
Thanks a lot, teacherman hitting, since I started see your videos, I improve a lot in my posture, timing and swing, and the best part of it, every time im in the bat box, I hit the ball perfectly. God blessed you Sir. Keep upload videos like this, are very helpful.
What I like about this drill, it over exaggerates the stretch feeling in your body. Then when you get on the tee, you hunt for it as you get into position before choosing your middle or in/out and the tilt that goes with it. That last adjustment takes time if it’s middle middle or in our out. That’s just reading the pitch, which is another art entirely!
This is a drill that I just added to my dad batting coach routine. My son is turning 10 this month. His fall ball HLP is getting doubles and triples and landing at the fence. We do the following almost daily: The High Tee The Wall and now the one you show here
Im going to give these drills on this channel a try, i hit .300 this summer but I know i have more power to unlock if I want to continue beyond high school/travel. But id assume these drills are more so fee-based snd exaggerated? To be able to bring that feeling into the real swing is the goal with these drills?
Is the stretching part before the swing in this drill a feel for the load too. Should I be trying to make that feeling in a regular batting stance to make my load.
Hey Teach! Here is an apple: apple. I think your cues and descriptions are the best hitting instruction available today. Following your lessons has worked for me undoubtedly. I am curious however about encounters you have had where your cues, descriptions and methods did not -at least initially- bring success. Have you had hitters unable to catch on? What are some of the initial wrong turns you have seen hitters take in response to your lessons? You heard it here first: Kris Bryant is going to pick up your ideas soon and have a sniff at 60 in the next two years.
I need to make a longer video on this, but some common ones - overrotating the shoulders to feel a stretch in the upper back, compensating with the upper body to feel the tilt in their rear hip socket, or even just not consistently getting to their loaded launch position on-time, under control

You will learn more, faster, by picking up a bat & swinging yourself than those who just watch 🙂
This is the truth! Enjoy the journey with your kids. It’s how this whole thing was started 👍👍
I never played baseball but im about to crush at the batting cage lol. Absolutely perfect teaching. So easy to understand and well presented.

Did all the HLP drills this summer finally hit a ball out in batting practice 375 feet
Will do!
Proud to share the first name as you Coach
How scary is it, even behind a net, when judge hits a ball right back up the middle 😮

You've helped me keep my son's swing inside!
Something for my son and i to do today ty!
This is the best drill for me.

I call this the upper back stretch, you only get this when you swing properly and or throw a ball properly
Would this work for cutting a ball in slow pitch softball?
Should soft toss be incorporated as well?

correct!!
Can this swing be used for softball?
@teacherman do you post content on Rumble?

You should feel that stretch in every swing you take. The goal of the drill is to help you learn that feeling
Your drills make sense. Grey sweats are a flex. Never listen to the haters.
I understand now
Very good
Do you offer an affiliate program for your hlp program? Thanks, enjoy the videos and Frye is a joke.
Richard, do you have any affiliates that teach the basis of your swing in Georgia?
Not in Georgia, but Justin Gerardo (@gritnj on Twitter) is very good

Anybody remember Tony Batista standing like this?
when i do the coiling my knees hurt and i dont feel like i'm operating with my full "power" why is that? Could anybody help?
No, but nice user name 😊
Number 1
@slowmoguys get with teacherman and Aaron judge please!
We would welcome the breakdown 🙂
Am I wrong ? It looks like Aaron has way too much weight out front when he's swinging in this video
All of your weight is supposed to be out front when you swing
Step+load, snap+swing
acuna jr doesn't swing like that, he's alright...
Neither do 99.9% of professionals. Ask this guy to name one player he developed from a kid that went pro.
Thats why today hitters are so shit… you got like 4 or 5 guys hitting above 300… only hitting for homeruns
Do you believe that pitching today is the same or better than pitching in the past?
