Ehhhhhhh... Definitely the most unique. This is a song that lost its groove because of Joey's interpretation of the song. Like, not playing the Tom hits for the chorus. But while losing the grove this song still sounds amazing when it's being pushed uphill. Most of the songs ended up fine that way. Except A Song for the Deaf... But there will never be another Joey. That said...the band grooves better with Jon. But not everyone prioritizes that. I do. Matter of opinion
Not only are they playing this without two of the five members they originally had, they've also sped it up a quarter step, and it's honestly even better than the album or basement version!
The Academy gig is great. I'd love to see a DVD of festival gigs they played. There's the world of material on here that could be stitched together along with interviews up through the bands history. I'd buy it and I'm sure many others would too.
@bigperson666 you just cant see them on the picture but if you watch the whole dvd you can see that some bits were edited with other concerts and this is only the 13th part of the show ive posted all tracks plus bonus material from the dvd plus commentaries plus the easter egg that no one has posted here at youtube
@tuber2654 what are you talking about? just to let you know this clip is part of the QOTSA DVD directed by Chapman Baehler and for that matter there are some bits on the dvd that are taken from another showas if you want to buy the DvD go to any music store
It's Alain's. It was a custom Yamaha with like the body of an SA 70, with pick up style of an Epiphone Rivoli with the neck of the SA70 and I think the head of a BEX-4 Yamaha. All amazing basses on their own, but this frankenstein is a beast.
Joey always played faster than the studio tempos... a lot of people say they like his energy but it always annoyed the shit outta me. That's what makes Queens so great: the ability to be so heavy and huge and still hypnotize you with a slower tempo. Grohl really nailed it, his laid-back style was perfect for this band.
@iendacard you little shit go fuck yourself whats the point of saying that you cant see the all band on this track if the all concert has 20 tracks and more than 90 minutes
dude the fact that they can play this just as good as three person as they can as a band with five people is just so badass
the best drummer that QOSA has ever had
Without question
Damn right
Definitely my favourite

that's just like your opinion man
Josh's tone is so huge, I thought Alain must've been playing rhythm, but it was just Josh.
that massive bass tone adds alot as well, still HUGE

There were only 2 members on this album. Alfredo did drums and Joshua did everything else. The speed up is definitely appreciated
@@ZeRo-uf2rt I think he's talking about how in 2005 they also had Alain and Natascha with 'em who are absent in this video
My absolute favourite QOTSA track
Best Mexicola performance in my opinions, Josh's solo is so fuck8ng badass!!!
Live from the Basement is pretty solid
this song is just done as a 3 piece .... thats awesome
There's some energy they have live that's just so unique.
This drummer has high energy for sure
Quite possibly the definitive version of this song... _unreal!_
I love watching these live videos... Josh uses his whole body to play that guitar. 🔥🔥🔥
Am I the only who has this DVD ? 💿 F***g amazing!! 🔥👹🎸😵
That fucking solo at the end..phew man ! Phew !!

QOTSA classic. Sadly never got to here this live but this is the next best thing.
I just shit my pants
+Spiral out Duuuudeeeeee.... go clean, then come back and keep rocking with QotSA
bit of cleaning to do, but I made it back \m/
Nothing in this world can possibly be any more awesome.

J Maddison he is my fav member of queens other than josh
I think it’s a Yamaha SA70
J Maddison it belongs to Alain Johannes, it’s a copy of a Gibson EB-2D
It's Alain's. It was a custom Yamaha with like the body of an SA 70, with pick up style of an Epiphone Rivoli with the neck of the SA70 and I think the head of a BEX-4 Yamaha. All amazing basses on their own, but this frankenstein is a beast.
Epiphone Rivoli, not a Yamaha SA-70
@3:51 I think Josh almost passed out there
Maybe, legs got rubbery, eyes rolled back. Could be your everyday possesion kind of stuff, lol.

MAIZE
@LLMelvinL alot of peyote!
Ohh sorry, Méxicouu.
Joey... not quite my tempo, man

Jesus...The Avon performance from this show is terribly off-tempo, even worse than this.
he's slower in the Basement version
Miss joey
@TheFrankDive and it is. go to my channel
@QOTSAPT nuts to butt. :/ that sucks
