This was my favorite Cohen’s cut. So many subtle call outs to help improve my own deep cuts, especially since I struggled with when to initiate the cut.
Yea I never really thought of cutting in preparation for the reset cut, but this makes much more sense
It should be noted that this tactic is very useful against a man defense but often not as impactful against a zone. Zone defenses will already have a defender deep.
Tyler’s timing was perfect, but he pushes off his defender to get totally free. So the ref should have blown his whistle for a foul. Besides, Tim Beatty’s marker stays put when he moves behind Weaver for the ‘boomerang cut’, thus he basically gives bim the opportunity to throw a huck (just when their basic defense -straight- wants to take away hucks). So Daniel, sorry, but I don’t think this is a good example of good offense.
The AUDL could use a good ref like you
Based on 1:41 I don't agree about the push being a foul. The defender puts his arm out there, which is the initial foul. Tyler chooses to play through it, so it's ticky tacky for his action to be a whistle when the defender's arm blocking was not blown down.
