- Prince Harry honored the late South African leader Nelson Mandela and called on leaders to take action to address climate change in his keynote speech at the U.N. General Assembly's annual celebration of Nelson Mandela International Day on Monday. “As we sit here today, our world is on fire again,” Harry said. “These historic weather events are no longer historic. More and more they are part of our daily lives and this crisis will only grow worse unless our leaders lead.”

No one else felt the need to speak about themselves or their kids or the place they “knew their wife was their soulmate”💁🏽♀️ It’s beyond bizarre to me, a fifth generation South African Indian, that the UN felt it was appropriate for this guy, whose ancestors brought Indians to Africa as slaves and stole all the “Commonwealth” jewels and natural resources, to address the UN General Assembly on Mandela Day. It is beyond atrocious that he referenced Madiba’s sacrifices, putting his own needs aside for legacy and the greater good, when this guy deserted his family at the first sign of his needs not being met, for the first time in his privileged life. The UN appears to be nothing more than an outlet for privileged wannabes to promote their own selfish agenda.
i loved watching Harry speak to an almost empty auditorium (specially since everyone knows that the General Assembly is not in session right now and won´t be until September.
I also thoroughly enjoyed watching Harry imitating Obama. He must have been watching every one of Obama´s speeches. Watch how he looks at both sides of the room and how he makes a pause before switching sides. Watch the expressions (specially the lips) every time he makes a pause. It's like watching Obama speak. The only thing he didn't copy from Obama was the hand movements. Watch a speech by Obama without the volume and the watch Harry's speech without the volume and you'll notice it.

He was asked to speak because his charity interests have centered on the continent of Africa since he was an older teen. You’re missing the point and the irony of why he wwas chosen to speak. His homeland enslaved the continent of Africa for their benefit for hundreds of years. There are some issues that are beyond an old document as times change and human beings move on. The baby still had a heartbeat, but due to abortion laws, they dared not help the mother and remove the 18 week old inside her, the mother got sepsis. She was alive with a 9yo daughter, but the doctors were so scared to abort this dying 18 week old inside her that the mother had to die too. Tell me, is that ok? Is it fine with these laws now going backwards to not abort a foetus dying already to SAVE the life of the mother? Ireland after that appalling loss of life, a 9yo girl lost her mother, changed their laws and the life of the woman comes first. Female lives are played with by men once again. Men can get a vasectomy pretty easily, but women are treated as stupid being told, no, we can't tie your tubes and you need a husband's consent!! Some don't have a husband and it is OUR body to decide if we want our tubes tied. No female should be this oppressed or left to die as a foetus dies inside her, killing her and a living child loses a mother.

The goal of having the prince give that speech was accomplished- it gave some people the opportunity to know that Mandela existed. Wish an African could have made this address instead of a spoiled and entitled child of the empire that looted Africa through their divide and rule principle.

Last year he & Meghan made a donation of 360k to CAMFED (girls education program) Meghan used her voice to the Documentary" ELEPHANTS " 2M were donated to save the okavango elephants. Harry is the patron of Africa's parks, helping tag & moved Rhinos & elephants to safety and survival.
