No spoilers, my prediction is 9:45 for 2 miles. Edit: Let's goooo, 9:43 is really solid, considering you ran 4:41 1 mile just like what a week and a half ago or something? You can break 4:30 for sure in the 1 mile with the 9:43 2 mile! And I don't care if it's not the fastest time ever, it's still amazing and it inspires me for training over the summer CAREFULLY this time and not burn myself out! Maybe I'll join you at the sub 10 minute 2 mile club next year, who knows :D (I'm at 11:39 for my 2 mile for reference so sub 10 might be a bit of a stretch, but I hope XD) In the words of Cam from the sub 8 minute 3k video, "LETS GOOO SPENCE!"
Would be really sick to see you progress into the longer distances, 5k, 10k HM and Marathon. You got a 14:22 on your road 5k before the injury so you're clearly elite level, at least in my eyes.
That would make sense. Really the natural progression of runners is to move up in distance as they get older and loose the speed of their youth. Im sure he could smash his best in the longer distances.
I think what helps you keep going with this is that your girlfriend is also into training and competing too. You have someone that understands you. Your content has never been better. Have fun chasing local legend status. You should go for prize money races. A lot are not even pro level.
wud love to see u hop into the local track meets kinda like what u were doin last summer and just do whatever event u feel like, those were fun vids w great atmospheres
I’ve loved following your journey! Love the local legend 5ks! So much fun to watch! …Have you thought about doing any mountain races or trail races with Allie? Would love to see you both in the same race!
A series focused on creating and going through a training block would be nice. Going through things like picking out the peak race, the base building phase, introduction of workouts and why you do them and taper along with the little things like stretching and lifts would be nice regardless of the distance or results
5km-half marathon has a ton of potential for you. Going up to the marathon is a whole different beast to handle so personally, I'd have a bunch of fun going at the 5k and 10k distances on the roads and maybe get a couple of half marathon races banked before looking to the marathon. You seem like you're having a lot of fun so imo, keep chasing that.
Back in the fall your road 5ks were super entertaining I’d like to see more of that (road 5/10k) tbh I don’t want to see another mArAtHoN vLoGgEr but the path is yours
Yes, I for one am enjoying your vlogs. I will never be fast again, (I’m 68) I just enjoy running and pushing myself. Do whatever is fun and a challenge for you!
Good job Spencer, for a fun and exciting change of pace, you should definitely run the 2 USA stops of the Golden Trail World Series in September. I assume Allie had them in her calendar too.
Hey! I've been seeing you do a great effort with training and showing the world your progress, I love it! When you go to Boulder, there is a team called Boulder Track Club. They are pretty awesome and welcoming! I plan on being in Colorado sometime in the next month or so. I'd love to hit you up!
Portland vs Seattle 3k at the Portland Track fest. Tryouts are on Wednesday, May 22nd. Doesn’t get anymore local legend than brining an axe back to Seattle.
Distance runner goes strongman. Meet up with Brian Shaw in Colorado. My first love was lifting, didn’t start running until I turned 40, a little less than 2 years ago.
Go for a half-marathon next. It'll be a new challenge and gives you options for follow-up. If you end up liking long distance it's a good stepping stone to the marathon. If not, the training isn't so gimmicky that it'd be a waste when you pivot back to 5k or even mid-distance. You could be in decent shape for one by early fall if you start looking at it now.
Allie really nailed the time....a mere one second of overestimation. BTW if anybody gives a negative critique (particularly after being off for 2 1/2 months, and still not doing speed work at full blast), I would highly doubt they could run a mile and a half, let alone two miles in 9:43, and for some, maybe not even a mile! Good job! Keep recovering intelligently, build up gradually and you will be in awesome condition.
1:57 interested in your training, do these all-out efforts work better than doing intervals for you even though you might run at the same pace? A while ago I did a 10k race and noticed a huge improvement from that, more than I ever got from one 10k pace interval session Anyone else also has experience with this?
I wonder if you could pull a Ryan Hall and just get jacked? That is where you should take your fitness to. Or like a hybrid style training plan where you try to keep like 5 min per mile speed but are capable of heavy-ish lifts.
Spikes would've definitely taken you under 9:30. Btw I thought bikes weren't allowed in shoreline stadium doesn't it say on the south fence? Anyways solid effort Spence :)
SPENCE you gotta walk the talk and beat your Dads marathon time. Also you should consider Triathlons for the prize money😼. Maybe even start a series of “runner tries triathlon” or something like that
FYI, a mile isn’t 4 laps of a 400m track. You did 3,200m not 2 miles. You need to start at the steeple jump markings around 9m before the start line and then run that plus 4 laps for 1 mile.
I swear by Ketone-IQ and use it daily. To say that the taste isn't necessarily the best thing ever is an understatement. But I have it on good authority that they are reformulating it to improve the taste. BTW, hope to run into you guys at the LA Track Fest.
How good do you think that I would be able to get at the end of high school? Right now my stats are: 5:26 1600m 11:53 3200m 18:12 3 mile I'm a freshman.

That prediction was just one second off !
Yeah, she nailed it!
When you get really fit, you should win a MARATHON in a costume 😂

Bring back the gucci socks for races
What an OG comment, dubz
Don't let the haters get to you man. Doesn't matter what they think.
Also Allie's predictions are crazy close every time. She's a real one

Great job!!! You should do a marathon once you get fit.
when in Boulder, you do Magnolia Road. The Return of the King (of Boulder).
you should be proud of 9:43 for how little you’ve trained. Super impressive spencer! Keep up the awesome work👏👏🔥
I think what helps you keep going with this is that your girlfriend is also into training and competing too. You have someone that understands you. Your content has never been better. Have fun chasing local legend status. You should go for prize money races. A lot are not even pro level.
Holy smokes where have you been all these years?
wud love to see u hop into the local track meets kinda like what u were doin last summer and just do whatever event u feel like, those were fun vids w great atmospheres
Spencer once your back in peak shape, come down to California for some all comer meets! They’re great
Yes please keep doing these videos. They are fun and running is supposed to be fun.
Ultra is the next step 👍
Spencer, you'll always be the local legend of my heart

I think you make a great ambassador for the sport. I enjoy seeing you do the local legend type stuff and featuring the running community.
Would love to see a hard 10km effort in a road race from you Spence
Back in the fall your road 5ks were super entertaining I’d like to see more of that (road 5/10k) tbh I don’t want to see another mArAtHoN vLoGgEr but the path is yours
"When I get fit" HA
The start line for the 2 mile is actually about 18 meters back from the finish line
Exactly, one mile is 1609 metres, there’s a white line 9 metres back from the start line if you intend running one mile
Yes, I for one am enjoying your vlogs.
I will never be fast again, (I’m 68) I just enjoy running and pushing myself. Do whatever is fun and a challenge for you!
I think you’re gonna thrive in 10k.
Have fun and do trials for sprints or field events
Good job Spencer, for a fun and exciting change of pace, you should definitely run the 2 USA stops of the Golden Trail World Series in September. I assume Allie had them in her calendar too.
Keep racing yourself into shape.
Hey! I've been seeing you do a great effort with training and showing the world your progress, I love it!

I'd like to see 10k to marathon on the road
Should also hit up The Incline out in Colorado Springs
I think you should try to race a half marathon. Maybe try to build that base with it.
Can you and allie plzzzzz start a podcast! Yall are both so funny and have the best dynamic
Portland vs Seattle 3k at the Portland Track fest. Tryouts are on Wednesday, May 22nd. Doesn’t get anymore local legend than brining an axe back to Seattle.
i wanna see you do longer distances like 10k halfs would be sweet
Let’s go Spence!!!
You should do the boulder bolder
You should do a workout with Dan King when in Boulder. He ran a 4:59 mile at 60 years old at the 5Th Avenue Mile. He still does great track workouts.
Distance runner goes strongman. Meet up with Brian Shaw in Colorado.
My first love was lifting, didn’t start running until I turned 40, a little less than 2 years ago.
it would be so cool to see you race some 800 races
Go for a half-marathon next. It'll be a new challenge and gives you options for follow-up. If you end up liking long distance it's a good stepping stone to the marathon. I reckon you should do a 10k race maybe in 2-3 weeks but it’s up to Spence looking strong nice 2 mile!! 🥳🥳
Great video :)

I ran my best post-college mile six weeks after a marathon. I think you should run the Seattle (or Portland) marathon, then try to run a fast mile.
Still hoping for a trail race or a road marathon. Would be so cool to see you attempt to qualify for Boston or even something quicker.
I'm a time prediction goddess
I think you should focus on 5k and 10k personally. Also you should link up with Serious Runner in Boulder (i think he's from Boulder), he's the GOAT
Your camera women, is fasttttt 😂😂❤
Ahhhhh she’s on the bike, 😂😂
The king of boulder
is that shoreline stadium?
It would be cool to see you team up with Tyler speers. Also would be cool to see you run one of those 5 5ks in 5 days or something
Would like to see you try out a Triathlon.
A sprint triathlon could be a fun venture
1:57 interested in your training, do these all-out efforts work better than doing intervals for you even though you might run at the same pace?

9:42 for that 3200m is impressive from where you came from with that Achilles injury.
Remember your Army PT? Train on upper body and sit ups.
I wonder if you could pull a Ryan Hall and just get jacked? That is where you should take your fitness to. Or like a hybrid style training plan where you try to keep like 5 min per mile speed but are capable of heavy-ish lifts.
would love to see try trailrunning lmao, to me it seems about the furthest discipline to what you are comfortable in
Spence you should run the BolderBoulder 10K in Boulder on Memorial Day best 10K in the nation would love to see you out there
You should meet adam wood.
Are you running the Bolder Boulder 10k?
I think you should break the 3 hour marathon barrier!
Come to Boulder and run the boulder boulder 10k!
Are you running the BolderBoulder?
Expand on the "Local Legend" brand...start breaking hearts in every discipline of running...5k, 10k, 2mi, and even marathons...keep it up😊
Spikes would've definitely taken you under 9:30. Btw I thought bikes weren't allowed in shoreline stadium doesn't it say on the south fence? Anyways solid effort Spence :)
Rip a fast 800m with the fitness
How were the bleachers not packed for this?
i really think you could nail some road 5ks and halfs
I ran the exact same school record time at state last weekend
Backyard ultra
Get with Seth James DeMoor when you're in Colorado. That would be a great UA-camrs collaboration.
marathon!!
SPENCE you gotta walk the talk and beat your Dads marathon time. Also you should consider Triathlons for the prize money😼. Maybe even start a series of “runner tries triathlon” or something like that

Hit up Mags with the real local legend Charlie Lawrence 😎
5K and 10K local races. parkruns too
my school had some insane runners our freshman 3200m record is 9:21
Add another 5 seconds to that, Spencer, as you ran 3,200m, so you were 18.688m short!
When you get back in shape you should start racing 10 miler races and 13.1's !
I would love to see you train for a marathon or half. If possible even iron man.
Wow I just realized I ran in this exact stadium before
Train for the 5k!
When you get fit, don't waste it. I can see you doing a very good 10k/HM
Once you're fit, I say you should go for the beer mile championship.
How good do you think that I would be able to get at the end of high school? Right now my stats are:
5:26 1600m
11:53 3200m
18:12 3 mile
I'm a freshman.
