- Live june 1991 in Doby Digital, 1st concert after James brown was released from prison.
It is not complete, look at the several video-responses i posted (right below the vid)
Quote from www.cosmopolis.ch :
"In the summer of 1991, James Brown made his comeback on the scene of the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. Together with a twelve-man band and a dynamic show, he enchanted a public which included Mick Jagger, Quincy Jones and MC Hammer."

Wonder if it still is (a mans world).
Nevertheless great to listen to, James Brown is one of a kind...
Had this video private for 2 years after some claims (on another James Brown video) compromising my account, but i guess it is safe to assume this will be ok.

James actually became better with age in my opinion. His ability to dance wasn't there anymore but his voice seemed to get lower and even more soulful. This is vocal control. Everytime that I want to get blown away by a live performance I watch this!!! Amazing!!!
Eh I agree but In the 50s and 60s his voice was outstanding
I'm hearing you bro 👌
Mr entertainment all the way. This gentleman gave you 210 percent at his shows. Full throttle non stop enjoyment.
I miss him every day. RIP BROTHER JAMES😞
He did this in the 90s and sounds amazing
He was just out of prison and sounded greater than ever. This was also the year his father died.
I still play this song on full blast and watch James Brown and his moves and facial expressions...That Man didn't play around 🙌👑🕊️🎁❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🎼🎵🎶🔊🗣️
He was definitely an entertainer that put on a hell of a show. His music appealed to people of all ages and genera which
is what music should do.
One of my favorite renditions. James Brown remains the king of soul. The passion and power in his voice cuts to my soul.
Its his song bro
James had the tightest band in show biz!
Paul Dallard of course, James wouldn’t have it ANY other way.
James would fire ur azz for breathing wrong...lol
U got that right and he made sho of it 🤣
this video is 25 years old still rocking us like a comet
No one has more SOUL than James Brown. Modern people ain't ready and never will for this. Back in the days the living was very, very tough. Now everything is deliver to your hands,\.
A true Hero...there really ought to be a national holiday...James Brown Day for this genius who promoted so much for the advancement and respect for Black America...All on His own dime...Well....
Boa
James never compromised on the amount of musicians he used in his bands... Always a full crew,as you can see...He even used 2-3 drummers,on the stage at once,as you can see...The payroll must have gave him a headache each week, but, that was his style... RIPJB
who didn't LOVE this man.....such stage presence and talent..
jesus his first line is breath taking
As a fellow Augusta, Ga entertainer, I had the pleasure of meeting and then knowing and becoming friends with James Brown. Not the come on over for supper friend but, the come on down and what did you think kind of friend. James was indeed the task Master. Everyone envied that he had a band as tight as The Soul Generals. Mas, God Bless him. By James' side till the end. Augusta didn t wait for death. A street, an Areana, and statue was in his honor. Now a place in our Museum. Miss ya friend
Sing it brother. Man you were and are one of the greatest singers of the 20th century.
god damn. sometimes its just so soulful, you gotta take a step back and just shut your eyes for a second.
I never tire of James Brown. I love his passion and his flare. He will ALWAYS be the Godfather
o
Man's, Man's, Man's World"
This is a man's world
This is a man's world
But it would be nothing, nothing
Without a woman or a girl
[Verse 1:]
You see, man made the car
To take us over the road
Man made the train
To carry the heavy load
Man made the electrolight
To take us out of the dark
Man made the boat for the water
Like Noah made The Ark
This is a man's, man's, man's world
But it would be nothing, nothing
Without a woman or a girl
[Verse 2:]
Man thinks about a little bit of baby girls and a baby boys
Man make them happy
'Cause man make them toys
And after man make everything
Everything he can
You know that man makes money
To buy from other man
This is a man's world
But it would be nothing, nothing
Not one little thing
Without a women or a girl
He's lost in the wilderness
He's lost in bitterness
he opens his mouth ad pure gold came out! excellent!!!

James Brown, I love U man, not because U bought me an ice cream cone outside a Haagen-Daz in Beverly Hills when I went walkin by with my back-pack as a homeless person at that time, but cause U were & still are the Godfather of Soul. So much passion every time U sing no matter what U sing, the listener can't help but feel the love & be moved. Rock on James....

There are legends, but something is really different with James Brown. Something inside shuts my mouth and make me smile
im so sad, so sad that i was born into this era of music and I'll never get to see something like this. Back when you felt the music instead of seeing it.

On this day in 1966 {June 4th} "It's A Man's Man's Man's World" reached #1 {for 2 weeks} on Billboard's R&B chart...
About one month earlier on April 30th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it peaked at #8 and spent 9 in the Top 100...
James Brown passed away on Christmas Day of 2006 at the age of 73...

Some say that this was one of the lower periods of James' life, but I certainly don't see it in this video. That band is TIGHT! And listen to the crowd eat it up!
Hats off to his band as well.

I love james' face while listening to the trumpet solo. You can almost see it hitting him in the soul just from the look on his face.
Thank you, James !!! Fantastic.
Great guitar back-up. You know guys, the lyrics are so true too.
Isn't it wonderful how a great musician can make lyrics like 'man made the electric light' seem like divine prophecies?
Rest in Peace James! You gave all that you had to your fans around the world!

A man's world? I love James Brown. This song is absolutely fantastic! I still can't deny how he also includes that if it's not for a woman, a man is nothing! So true...what if a man is gay? I'm a straight but nontheless gay or straight, everybody needs somebody some times. Thank you JB for such a memorable song to listen to all years and any years. Still never gets old.
