Hajime Isayama is such an underrated artist... he doesn't get the recognition he deserves, but at the same time he doesn't care for it and keeps doing his work sincerely for his fans. Such a humble guy.

You're literally speaking to a writing legend. Let me tell you this, when attack on titan finishes (not very far in the manga) and the animated series catches up, you'll all then realise just how good this guy is at storytelling... he planned every detail from the start.

Woke bro yeah I’ve only read up to and including enies lobby, not really impressed so far. Hope it gets better, right now it’s very formulaic, the fights are asspully and the pacing is very inconsistent. The world building is good though but also proceeds at the pace of a snail.

@@nene-una yeah. I forgot what interview he said, but he made Levi, and right now, Renier, to be what he was. He was an amateur to everyone, but he wrote incredible stories that even experienced writers couldn't right, like Levi was an amateur using ODM gear, but was better than 90 percent of the people who were actually experienced with ODM. He also suffered a lot of losses, even if not physical ones, to make the manga, just like Levi took a lot of death and suffering on himself just to reach 40 years old, let alone work in such a dangerous job that is the scouts.

Seriously the effort into making the AOT world is insane. Like who comes up with ODM gear and the fact that it needs gas, the blades, the different levels of walls, the different types of Titans etc. that is so intense and it’s a lot. Not to mention the relationships between all the different characters. I’m in awe of his diligence to finish this manga too
Isayama Hajime and Aot’s success has inspired me to become a mangaka. I will make great stories like his and I want the public to read them

I already was hoping to be able to write and illustrate my own stories, but Isayama's work has inspired me so much to really take it seriously, practicing drawing and writing almost every day, I hope to write something half as good as SNK
From the very first chapter, hints of the end were already there. This man is next level in terms of planning, foreshadowing and knowing what he wants to do with his story. He's already one of the best authors and story tellers ever in my eyes.
I love the fact Demetrius thanked him for what he does and how he takes time away from family because of what he does. Makes me happy he notices the sacrifices it takes for these manga creators to do what they do, Isayama really appreciated that I’m sure.

I echo his sentiments when he thanked Isayama for entertaining him and his friends; if I had a chance to talk to the author, I would tell him his story has had a profound impact on my life, emotionally and philosophically. I was coming of age when Eren and his friends were coming of age, and I'm glad I got to see its beginnings as a teenager and the end of it as a working adult. Attack on Titan is a masterpiece.

Hopefully some answers and less plotholes. I have high hopes that it will be improved, but if it doesn't I'm still cool with it.

This is really cool to see, both of them have a passion for each other's work despite them being in such disparate fields.
This was a nice interview, but I cannot be the only one who felt the negative tension between them.
The interviewer clearly only watched the anime, and asked questions based on what he saw. But in reality, Isayama is the writer of the manga not the animator.

isayama is one of the most greatest story teller and writer the way he writes and directs AOT is amazing this man never fails to impress me.
45 pages a month? You are so incredibly talented person... As a comic artist myself i tell you its not easy to draw comic actually..even drawing a page consume me about 2 to 3 days.. He did a very good job finishing comics fast and quality drawing

Attack on Titan isn't really that impressive compared to the series mentioned above.

In this interview Hajime Isayama says the show Breaking Bad is a masterpiece because it had a conclusive ending yet he ends his series with an open ending.
He said he had to rush the manga but he is adding some original scenes in anime so I think anime will have a conclusive ending.

Well since its 2020 now it wont finish in fall. Isayama says he plans to end the manga this year. But the anime will end probably mid 2021
I'm so thankful to him for taking his creativity to this level, AOT has always been my favorite anime and has brought me through so much. I plan on reading the manga after the last season.
