everyone saying they cant play because of their hands just needs practice. i have MEGA small hands but because I've been practicing for like three years this is directly my skill level. not that it isn't hard tho. you can do it !! no excuses, but maybe don't start off with this one.
* i am self taught w no formal training (or training at all, i just find increasingly hard tutorials) so thats why its taken me so long! i also dont practice much*

3 years? damn thats a hell of a grind. but congratz nonetheless. but yeah this piece is kinda normal level for "average" pianists.
My piano teacher has too small hands for this. She is super skilled and has played the piano for decades, but she can't play any song where your hands need to stretch over an octave or more on the keys. So it can also be a very simple physical restriction. I recommend practicing, but also adjusting the sheet music to your needs. And remember there are other awesome instruments out there too! No need to make life unnecessarily difficult, if your passion is more about the music and less about the piano :) (I don't want to discourage anyone! If the piano is your passion, then think of her as a good example of a great pianist with small hands)
I’d recommend going for a sheet music than this, I know it’s much harder at first but it’ll definitely be worth it after this.
Okey, tomorrow i'm going to start playing this piece, it probably takes years to learn it, but i'm not going to give up until i get it. Wish me luck♡

Learned it in a week, depending on your skill level you should be fine, fairly easy piece.
Years that's a bit of overexaggeration maybe a month at most if you like practice 2-3 hours a day

For those of you scared of trying, ive memorized up until the last 2 bars of this piece. I only have 1 year of self taught experience, but I can proudly say i can play 95% of this piece! Just for that reason, I urge everyone to try it as well. Not as hard as you think it is. Reply for any tips.

@@paulak8106 Learn the sheet music, play it backwards measure by measure. This is how pianist with teachers learn. Myself included. It sounds strange, but starting from the end, and learning one measure at a time actually allows your brain to remember what you've played better. Amazing for memorization. Other than that, practice, practice, practice.
You can't learn a trade without hundreds of thousands of hours. So just keep going. Eventually you'll make heavy progress, then slow down, then something will click and you'll progress again. It's an incredibly satisfying feeling.

my summer holidays are in a few months, and after all the grueling exams and study sessions, i will probably spend my whole four weeks learning how to play this lololol
I've been playing this for a week or so now and I can play up until around 3:05 pretty smoothly. This is definitely one of the best arrangements of this piece that I've seen.
Edit: I can now play the piece fully and am just working on my memorisation, however some bits are still a bit hard to play.

After learning this song for about a year and a half I am able to play through to the end. I have 3 pages memorized, and the other 4 pages I know how to play them but I need the sheet music. It takes a lot of time and effort to learn this song but in the end it is/will be worth it.

BIG BIG UPDATE!! Today ( 2nd July) is the day I’m going to finally record it so I can give my gf a usb with all the progress videos I’ve made throughout the journey and the mp3 song, I’m REALLY NERVOUS about it because the 4th I’m going to present it to her, I only hope that I don’t mess up and that she likes it!! (07-02-23)
Damn I almost forgot. It’s been almost a month when I presented it to her!! (07/04/23) She liked it, A LOT. It meant a lot to her that I tried and tried lots of times to learn this piece while having school and other stuff to attend, she will always have a very special place in my heart and in fact she has my heart 😭. She was a little bit suspicious about it, but that wasn’t a problem when she heard it the first time, she cried of happiness and hugged me when I finished it. My sister helped me to record us and I will have that precious moment in my heart. Finally I gave her a usb with ALL my progress videos and other stuff from the song, she said it has been the best gift someone has given to her, also because the next day was her birthday and our 6th month anniversary!! (And we went to the beach :) )

When I was in the mental hospital there was another patient who knew how to play this and other songs on the piano. Whenever we went for a meal he would play this on the piano in the cafeteria. I was not in the best place mentally but this song still brings me back to a simpler time when I didn’t have as many worries.
A month ago I thought this was impossible for me to learn as an amateur piano player, now I'm playing perfectly up to around the 30 second mark and I'm continuing to work my way through! If you don't think you can learn to play this, you're wrong, you can, so don't give up! ⚡

I managed to master this piece after practicing all summer. Luckily I play the piano since my childhood and learning this piece was not the biggest challenge of my life. However, this version is a bit more elaborate, so for beginners I recommend looking for a simpler version where you focus more on the main notes
You don't know how much it is rare to find the combo tutorial + free music sheet. I am so happy I can't express it in a better way than a new sub. Keep it up !

Edit 1: got around 30 seconds down. Not the smoothest but I can play it
Edit 2: school has been rlly busy so I don't get much time to play it but I got to the 1 min mark!
Edit 3: a min and a half hurray, kinda sad that I've been so busy with school though
Edit 4: at 2 mins now! I'm gonna update 30 sec by 30 second lol
Edit 5: wow this is really taking years lmao, but I'm at 3:30 now! Very close to the finish line ^_^

OMG- I starting crying, sobbing, screaming, yelling, and puking at the thought that someone can play this 😭😭😭
It took me like a week to learn the undertales theme song and I still can't play the whole thing so wish me luck trying to learn this. IM GONNA TRY I WON"T GIVE UP UGHHHHH
Been playing the piano for 8 years and well... this is hard. I have no idea what I would do without the sheet music, I'd be so lost with all the different left hand chords lol

Screw it ive taken a 2 and a half year break from piano I was playing for 6 years and I just couldn’t deal with the constant pressure of exams so I decided to quit and now I look back and think sometimes playing freely is better than exams why should I stress. I am now going to find spare time to go through some of my favourite pieces! ( I stoped at grade 5, so I have enough knowledge )

update: i finally figured out that the blue means left hand and the green means right hand!!

day- 12/8/20 practicing and improving on playing faster
3/28/21- i stopped playing and finished moonlight sonata but i will continue 😁. i have to restart bc i forgot HAHA

Started practicing this a few days ago and was able to get the intro pretty easily, but it's taken me days to get just the first half of the second page down to a decent level. The hours are worth it though for the beauty of the song. It might take another month to get it down but it will be worth it when I can play the whole thing.
I've never really played piano before, but after 3 days of practice, I can play up to 0:40 from memory

If you’re an in experienced piano player trying to play this I’d suggest looking up some videos of easy practices where the right hand and left hand are playing something different. You need to get good at that and then these pieces will be a lot easier
