Great tip and love the session recap! I just rewatched the original Magnificent Seven with my kids last night. D&D definitely takes a lot of inspiration from the Western genre, but I've been thinking on a setting that's more explicitly Western with fantasy elements.
@wereteddy Thanks! I have a hankering to use Rio Bravo at some point. IME, it's best to pick 2, maybe 3 things and mash them up. It tends to be way harder for the PCs to figure out what you're grabbing from.
