To think someone confidently sent out that logo and asked for a cake like that to be made.. Even cutting and eating this will be an ordeal, imagine engineering this cake! You're very talented and creative 👏👏
i think the fact that it’s part foil and stuff will help with cutting so that at least there’s a space for the cake to be leaning on without falling over lol, definitely was a bit of an insane request though
True! I'm a baker and the first thing I thought of was 2-D image and put it on a regular cake!! I wonder if they wanted it 3D or she thought to do it as a sculpture? I don't think I could have ever figured out how to do this because of the supports, foil, etc. She did a great job!
Your percentages are extremely off. You can't have more of something when it's covering over something else. Obviously you would have more cake than you would have of fondant.

@@brown4692actually I bet you since half of it was edible that the employees were really happy to bite into that cake part of the model of the logo. I don't eat cake. But if I were an employee of that company I would enjoy watching other people eat the logo. 😜
It's so good hearing a baker call Thier art a true piece of art because that's the kinda stuff you wanna hear from any type of artist when they are working on an art piece ❤
And I really don't know why people lie and tell people it's wonderful when they know it's a mess. Nobody improves that way. It's sloppy. It's mostly fondant. It was a terrible request and you worked with what you had but it's a mess nonetheless and I wouldn't pay for something that looked like that that was more aluminum foil and fondant than actual cake.
I think you're the one lying to yourself. She did amazing for what she was physically able to do. The cake is not a big mess, It literally looks how it's supposed to (at least as realistic as it can be) And It's entirely impossible for the cake to be mostly fondant when fondant covers over the cake. When you stretch something out, It becomes less. Therefore you cannot have more fondant than you have cake.
This is one of those ones where the artistry is in the accuracy. Does it look exactly like glass? No. But it looks EXACTLY like the logo. And that might be honestly more impressive.
@@Floedekageexactly. If it was entirely cake you could probably feed 100, no one’s eating humungous slices at the company event, it’s just for a little taste

It feels like you should have just made (almost) the whole thing with regular paint, added the cake part with fondant as the final piece to the sculpture - basically an elaborate cake stand that matches the cake it supports. Two separate pieces. But… Putting fondant over all of it with no way to tell where the cake will end and the sculpture begins feels, errr… hmm..
When I clicked on this video I had clicked on it because I thought it was a resin sculpture. I was like oh that's cool. So you can IMAGINE my surprise when you said it was CAKE?!?!?!?
I liked the final result but that’s definitely going to be a pain to cut it out cleanly, and also i feel there will be a big disappointment when they find out half of the thing is not even cake
i think you guy severely overestimate how much cake a person can eat. If its for an event, its gonna be served after your whole meal and the most people can fit is a sliver. i work in F and B and after events, our kitchens slice up the cake in a small long rectangle and some poeple barely finish it. Those who are just going to say "oh not me i could gorge a whole chocolate cake" yea sure but after a full meal? u sure u wanna do that? its a celebratory cake for DESSERT, not meant to substitue a meal.

It's absolutely not a rip-off if the company gave her the specs for the cake, she quoted a price, they agreed to pay it, and she fulfilled the request. It is enough for 20 people for the reasons you stated. Finally, what kind of moron wouldn't be able to tell the difference between cutting into a soft chocolate cake or a bunch of aluminium foil wrapped around metal reinforcements?? Plus, I'm sure when she delivered the cake she would have shown at least one person where to cut and provided either a picture or written instructions to be extra careful. I swear, it's like people have no critical thinking skills or basic logic in their brains... But it's nice to see at least one other person with common sense here in the comments section! Thanks 💖
