Thanks Jason! As a firm that 's probably quite a bit bigger than your clients, you're absolutely right about what works on social media. We love your videos!
As usual, great video. I’d love some more information on item 3, build relationships. How do I take someone from a commentor on my post to someone I’ve built a relationship with?
Totally, we have a goal for Q4 to create 10 lead magnets! The goal is to make a few and see which pain point most resonates with leads. Good idea/ bad idea???
I am confused why you suggest going ultra niche but your example is a person with 350k followers who posts the most general accounting and finance content (and most of it is just the same dozen of ideas repeated over and over) Also, very confused by you suggesting to provide value first. How exactly is that possible with accounting? The value is in an accountant's experience in error detection and decision making. And third thing I am confused by is what exactly is the unique proposition to an ultra niche business owner? How is a beekeepers books any different from any other micro business ? It would be the most textbook accounting.
Re: niche, she is super general, I was mainly pointing to her use of lead magnets Re: value first, the approach you're describing is purely the technical accounting bit. The 'doing of the accounting' is what gets you in the door, the greater opportunities lie in solving account-adjacent problems for the entrepreneur. Re: a unique proposition, every industry and type of entrepreneur has unique needs, so the more specific you get the easier it is to find the unique proposition. It's akin to saying an accounting firm is the same as any other professional services biz. In some ways it is, in many ways, that you don't see until you're in the thick of it, it isn't.
