REMOVING FLOOR TILE INTACT

- Why? First off, my tile is no longer available; it's been discontinued. I found a few spares in the attic. I had to make do with what I had.
Second, I moved a door. So, the floor tile in the new doorway area fell short of where it should go: to the middle of the doorway threshold.
Second, some tiles in the middle of the hallway had tiny chips on their edges, If I removed them, I could cut off the chipped edges yet still use them in the area of the new doorway, rather than cutting the spare tiles I have. The spares will replace the chipped ones.
Saved me from having to pick out another style of tile, remove all the existing tile plus cement board, lay down new cement board, then retile the entire hallway, grout it, etc.
Necessity is inspiring.

It wasn't hard, but it did take some time. Patience is something I'm always working on...
But how do you remove the first one?
If your cracked tile is in the middle of your floor, I would suggest you chip off then remove the cracked piece that can’t be salvaged, then begin your work from that opening you’ve created. Never be in a hurry, think things through, work gently yet deliberately little by little, and “when in doubt, don’t.”
Should you soak in hot water or does it matter?
CROSSROADS I used hose water, which was cool. Warm water, if available, always seems to move things along better, so I would give it a go.
Is this floor wood or concrete?
It's a plywood floor, Nivaldo. The floor was undamaged. (I also removed tiles from the first floor which is concrete slab.)
