It's beautiful that thanks to artisans like you, ancient pieces that are very valuable to world horology can be rescued and look like they did the day they left the factory. You are the best, congratulations.
Absolutely insane! This has to be the most difficult Rolex to restore. So many hard angles. Even the bezel was restored to new. Wow! Thank you very much! Liked, subscribed and shared. My absolute favorite UA-cam channel by far.
Great job. Respect for your attention to detail. The end result is worth every second of hard work. I have been following your activities for some time and I'm very impressed with your skills 💪
@@PowerShoot-by6pksorry mate, you comment with so much confidence, but you are totally wrong! Before you comment, just take your time and google it for a second, instead of claiming some bull sh⭐️t, the Oysterquartz was designed by Genta, a milestone watch from Rolex with one of the best quartz movements ever build.
Fantastic work as usual 👌👌👌 one question, when you apply the vertical grinding in minute 9:16 I would have assumed that yo stay in one position and the belt moves. However you move it from side to side, how exactly does that work? Thank you
incredible craftmanship, mastering all aspects of restoration...absolutely amazing, thanks for sharing...wondered about the corroded tube of your lapping machine, no time to polish that?
I also have 17014. I enjoyed this video. I've seen posts that say that a few years after laser welding, the area will discolor. I'm curious about your opinion.
Value is not always the most important thing on a watch, often a watch has also sentimental value, what is by far more important for a customer than the market price.
Beautiful restoration👍 Out of curiosity, how much would it cost someone to get a similar one like that restored….I know back in the day serviced alone is quite expensive if you take it back to a dealer…does come back actually good as new but does it actually go back to Switzerland to get it serviced?

Thought you made it better than Rolex by them selves, great job buddy and keep going man . ❤
Thank you 🙏
Wow, amazing as usual. All you need is one of those laser guided bezel coin edging machines.
Thanks 🙏 True, an laser engraver would be very nice, maybe in future!
Superb job

This is amazing and this is kinda level I would expect from a Rolex AD Service. But I wonder if they will actually put this much effort in
Thank you 🙏 AD Service will put by far less effort in it!

The satin finished Rolex case back has a subtle indentation, it is not flat, there is special equipment to make it look like the original.
Una belleza ! Creo que es el único modelo de Rolex a quartz. Puede ser?
Thanks 🙏 Yes, the only Rolex Quartz Watch.

What tool are you using to recurring the flutes on the bezel.?
Amazing restoration

Quartz Rolex. I would have just assumed it’s a Rep. Impressive result.
Thank you 🙏
How awesome 👍👍

Is the laser welding wire has to be the exact same material as the steel that rolex use?
Good question, yes, the steel should be the same, otherwise you’ll get a bad result. Each specific steel welds different.
What happen with the bezel?!?
Fantastic video. Shame the bezel didn’t turn out as great as the case. Great job overall!
What were you using to hand polish the bezel flutes? They turned out very well without getting rounded.
I Need to keep a few secrets 😉
DEAR Sir, whatch kind of lapping chariot are you using? time 12.49 thanks
It’s an original sallaz holder, check my videos, there I restored a 2 axis one.
Vantastico. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊🇩🇪
Thanks 😊
wow
Thanks 😊
Why does the bezel no longer have the yellow hue to the white gold?
It still has it!
@@Vintwatches Interesting, based on the thumbnail I thought you replaced it, then I saw the insane sanding you did to it 😄
True, on the thumbnail it looks different, think it‘s maybe because of light, angle and that it’s now polished.
I also have 17014. I enjoyed this video. I've seen posts that say that a few years after laser welding, the area will discolor. I'm curious about your opinion.
Thank you! If you use the wrong wire, than it could be! I use the exact same steel, then the case is built of, no discoloration or else.
@@Vintwatches I understood. thank you :)
i didn't expect his workshop in Germany 😬
Why not?
What kind of cost does this involve? Is it only worth doing on extremely valuable watches?
