    Absolutely insane! This has to be the most difficult Rolex to restore. So many hard angles. Even the bezel was restored to new. Wow! Thank you very much! Liked, subscribed and shared. My absolute favorite UA-cam channel by far.

    The satin finished Rolex case back has a subtle indentation, it is not flat, there is special equipment to make it look like the original.

    Is the laser welding wire has to be the exact same material as the steel that rolex use?

      Good question, yes, the steel should be the same, otherwise you’ll get a bad result. Each specific steel welds different.

    What were you using to hand polish the bezel flutes? They turned out very well without getting rounded.

    I also have 17014. I enjoyed this video. I've seen posts that say that a few years after laser welding, the area will discolor. I'm curious about your opinion.

      Thank you! If you use the wrong wire, than it could be! I use the exact same steel, then the case is built of, no discoloration or else.

    Do you use any filters og coloring in the editing? It was blue ish on my screen, it gave me a slight headace but i enjoy the content.:)

    Out of curiosity, how much would it cost someone to get a similar one like that restored….I know back in the day serviced alone is quite expensive if you take it back to a dealer…does come back actually good as new but does it actually go back to Switzerland to get it serviced?
