- When taking on a car project, people always tend to over simplify an engine swap that seems somewhat commonplace. Swapping a 4AGE into your TE72 Corolla is no different. While it is a very popular swap, there are some major items that can slow down your build and drain your pocket book. There really isn't a video out there that goes over all the items you need to properly get your car running so we decided to make one.
There are definitely 100 other things that we may have forgotten or left off the list so if you have any questions ask us and we will do our best to answer.
We want this video to be your reference point if you do decide to swap your TE72 and you need pointers.

A 1983 Corolla came with a 4ac motor. Engine cross member and steering rack fits perfectly for this swap
That is true but those are hard to find out here. For the trouble, I'd just got with all new everything.

Killer build, very nice. I wish I had time to do a 4age swap of my 7afe, but I have to drop and engine and change the clutch in my Porsche next and do a video series on that smh

do you still need that external voltage regulator?
It depends on the alternator. If you run a 2 wire, no. If you keep a 3 wire you’ll need one.

Love the vid. Couple questions. 1) Did the 4age just drop in? and 2) Where did you get that brake booster? It looks smaller than the original one. Thank you and keep making vids on the te72!!!!
Yes indeed the 4age just pops into the factory crossmember. You'll need 4age engine mounts. The brake booster is from Flo's in australia they are GREAT for corolla parts but the booster is currently sold out for now. We have a ton more TE72 videos on the way, thanks so much for watching and commenting.
