Fantastic. Just fixed the problem with our 2011 sienna. The interior lights came on and off at will. Draining battery at night. Everyone said it’s old. Get a new vehicle. But turns out it needed rear door slider switches. The rubber covers had come off! 100$ fix. 323000 km. 200000 miles. We are happy. Thanks to our mechanic brothers who remind me of scotty.

I am the original owner of a 4 Runner, 2004 with a 4.7 V8, sport edition. 184 K Miles. Yes, timing belt change-- on my third. I have never had any issues at all. Tight! Drives as if it were new! Most miles were highways. Total Toyota quality! I have maintained it to the extreme degree, full synthetic oil its whole life, differential the same. Transmission total flush at 65 K-drain and drain and fill after. It has to last because I am old and cannot afford to buy new. It is my baby, I love it. When I die, whoever gets it will have a gem. I use a good shop for maintenance. One of the mechanics offered me 20 K for my baby! He knows what shape it is in. No rust at all as I live in Western Oregon. I also put in after-market leather, and heated front seats.

They had a 21 point lead with 30 seconds left on the clock and their Sales "Manager" Screwed it up. He got insulting and said why don't we just refund your deposit you're not happy. I was a financial analyst for a manufacturing company, and we had 1 of our 6-7 plants in Mexico. We would run reports to determine what the cost per measurement was for each plant each month.
Sure, the labor in our plant in Mexico was 1/3rd of one of our U.S. plants, but there were several issues that ate the savings and made that plant less cost efficient as our 2 best U.S. plants.
Turnover was way too high. This negatively impacted the quality of the product, which increased the number of products that couldn't be sold and warranty claims.
There were several other problems, but the turnover is what caused quality issues, IMO.

The Toyota trucks with the 22R were something else. If you got a manual and changed the oil and managed not to get T-Boned or rear ended would last till today. Had to do a clutch at 250 thousand. Clutch was original as were the ball joints , universal joints, radiator and the AC still pumped cold air. Great truck for sure!

I bought a new 2023 Honda Odyssey EX in June. 280 hp 3.5L V6, 10 speed automatic transmission, front wheel drive, 144.9 cubic feet of cargo space, over 30mpg highway (EPA rated 28 mpg, but I have taken several road trips, and with smooth traffic on cruise control I have gotten 33-35 mpg at times), 18 inch alloy wheels with all season tires, several safety alert systems, made in USA, and tons of other features. I think the Odyssey should be on the list instead of the Maverick.

Change the oil every 3 to 5 thousand miles. Have had many fords, mostly Ranger and Mustang. 1 Crown Victoria and never had an engine failure. 2.3, 4.0 and 3.0 on the Rangers and got as many as 250.000 mies. The Ranger trucks are bullet proof with ball joints, clutch, of course battery tires and brakes. The Crown Vic needed a new intake manifold(2000) and was expected. At 125.000 miles ran like new. Every Ford bought never left us on the road. 4.6 liter engine on the Crown, it had the plastic intake that should have been a recall replaced when cracked and started spewing coolant on the coil pack. Once fixed like new. These cars can run 300,000 miles with marginal up keep. They are still transporting people as Taxis in every major city in the U.S. They are also still used by the government because of the longevity and the bullet proof design.

Have to disagree with going with the gas Maverick instead of Hybrid. Scotty you’ve said yourself that Ford uses licensed hybrid tech from Toyota. And Ford’s ecoboost engines are known to be problematic. Not to mention- they’ve also noticed some trans issues on those ecoboosts. No problems with trans on the hybrid due to the eCVT.

To be exact, change oil yourself or go to a trustworthy mechanic with your own oil. Dealerships use the cheapest oil in the market, that’s why people get 54 mpg in city.
