You don't have to live in the White House. Some presidents stay there more than others. Most stay full time, but no you don't have to absolutely stay there. Melania Trump was not thrilled with the White House. After all she is used to Mar-A-Lago which is over 3 times larger, oceanfront, and on 126 acres. Mar-A-Lago is closer to a French King's palace than even Buckingham Palace so the conservative White House is not quite as showy and elegant.
It's also really, really tacky. The White House decor is kind of maintained at a certain level of dignity, so when Trump inevitably tries to decorate it with all the tastefulness of a casino the moderating parts of the system will limit how much of an eyesore it's allowed to be during his time in office.
The Lincoln bedroom was the study/office of President Lincoln. There was no oval office for the president and he died across the street from Ford theater
The President & First Lady would be putting themselves at risk if they decided to live anywhere else other than the White House, which is non negotiable. Their protection is first priority, and the White House provides that on every level. It's an honor.
Odd that they showed the Lincoln bedroom and he said that it's the same bed that Lincoln passed away on, yet in the picture they showed of Lincoln in the bed on that fateful day, it's definitely a different bed in that picture than the one they just showed in the video. There is no law that says the President has to live at the White House. He is the President. They accommodate him. But since the White House has been there every President has lived in it. It sort of comes with the job. There was speculation that Melania Trump wasn't going to live in the White House during Trump's first term because Barron Trump was still in school and she didn't want him to have to uproot him from everything he knew. So she lived between both homes until Barron was out of school then she moved to the White House.
The president has to pay for all their food. They are also responsible for any parties & stuff like that. Bush W., prior to 9/11, spent weeks at a time on his ranch in Texas. I believe he spent almost as much time in Texas as he did in the White House for the first 8 months of his presidency. After 9/11, he still went to his ranch but not as frequent. Joe Biden spent around 400 days out of the White House, which is a lot in a 4 year term. When Biden was Vice President, he would swim in the nude. As First Lady, Hillary Clinton got in trouble for taking China dishes from the White House. The Obama’s donated the swing set but first offered it to Barron Trump (he was 10 at that time.) Barack Obama converted the tennis court into a basketball court. Trump bought an indoor golf simulator.
To add to your point at 4:00 for living in the white house. Its literally the most heavily defended place in the country, so it would be a safety issue if you decided to live elsewhere. The president should be the most well protected individual in the country.
One main reason the top two heads of state don't live together, or even just a block or two away is due to national security. If both, the President and VP were at the same location morning, noon, and night, then if for one reason or another an attack happened, you'd have both the highest ranking political figures in the country gone in one instance.
As president you would want to live at the White House if for no other reason than security reasons. That place is heavily guarded including snipers and overhead choppers, not to mention some sort of apparent tunnel system to get the President out of dodge if need be. Not sure any other structure would be as adequate for protecting the POTUS.

7:48 it’s funny Because Cesar was anti illegal immigrant using term wetback which actually came from Mexicans first called Mojados, Biden is such an idiot lol
He wasn't a leader of his community because of this? Because he was. He literally held very significant and powerful historical offices that altered the rights of many in the US. But you can keep being a racist. You'll fit in well with Tronald.
He's the biggest panderer I've ever seen from any politician. Literally everything was always about pandering to everyone all the time. Freaking disgusting and so fake
No it’s so many miles away, vice president lives in a big mansion
Trump had a diet coke button installed on his desk.
Well, no. Trump used a button that had been on the desk of Obama, W, Clinton, etc., and instead of using it as a button to summon someone from the outer offices of the secretaries, he decided it should mean diet coke.
You two need to get the hell back here! 😇 Hopefully you enjoyed our special day and it has a great effect worldwide. I noticed what I THINK was Boris Johnson leaving the Inauguration and I know Liz Truss was also here a few days ago at least. Didn't see Nigel Farage today, though. I was kind of surprised by that. Knowing Daz's connections, I'm surprised I didn't see you two here today!
It's time for the uk to change as well
Yeah bring back racism!!!
trump will take care of that too!
@@sherryarflin726 He won't
The VP’s home has a pool.
It tells me everything I need to know about buying that he took Chavez and put him right behind him a known Communists who was with Fidel Castro lol
3:56 chill, bro.
I know V) lives in a mansion nearby
As, with his first term, President Trump does not take a paycheck. He donates the money.
Yeah and that would be like you refusing a $20 salary. It's not the flex you think it is. Another billionaire worshiper 😂
@@mr.scrubber4524George Soros owns the democrat party!
THAT,S A LYE HIS FIRST TERM THEY COULD NOT FINE ANY WHERE THAT HE DID NOT GET PAID
The president cannot refuse to be paid. Unless you're saying the president broke the law. The reason this is a law is to prevent the president from being bribed (so much for that in practice). Also, virtually every president going back to at least JFK donated part or all of their paycheck they just didn't feel the need to brag about it endlessly.
@usmc24thmeu36 he doesnt donate shit 🤣
It’s a great day here in the USA💪
Its not.
@@etommy13 True, the perverted, the corrupt, the anti-American woke Marxists are in mourning! Their plans for Communist America have been destroyed! Oh the humanity!
😂 We could barely hear you when you're facing her, it's like a whisper. I'm sure your topic is great but the volume of your voice needs to go up.
Since he's renaming the Gulf of Mexico, I'm wondering if he will have the White House moved on his golf course?
🙄🥱
❤🤍💙
Wouldn't mind a bit of Trump content
Happy Liberation Day !!!
You live under the rule of billionaires. LMAO! Way to think that out!
Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!
@@etommy13 and good luck with your TDS. ..just think .. 4 more years...I friggin love it !
@@franklaforte7873 These freaks are just going out of their minds with TDS! And they'll be having their warped minds ripped apart for the next 1459 days!!! THEN Vance gets in!!!
@@franklaforte7873 Oh you think trump hurts me? LMAO...that is how sad you people are. If trump wins...I WIN! If he fails...guess what> I STILL WIN! Unlike you my future and happiness is not determined by the presidency. LMAO!!!! Enjoy living at the whims of billionaires who care nothing about you!
Yesterday was a great day for America. President Trump is already making moves. The next four years are going to be amazing.
I ate my nightly edible and I thought the carpet in the oval office was a giant Mexican tortilla. Its the still image from the pause at the start. 🤪It even looks crispy from the stains.
Entering the " Golden Age" of America
Trump is likely to spend half, or more time at Mar-A-Lago. Essentially working from home. But wants to let Elon take away my telework lol 😩
Trump is a great President, you can think whatever you want about him personally, he’s great at the job. His giant ego won’t allow him to fail, he wants to receive praise and be well liked
Trump's not going to sort anything out. He's going to make a mess like he did the first time. Yeah he may "speak his mind," but we're not here to be entertained. We need leadership. It's going to be a sad 4 years.
Agree 100% He's already started with his BS. It's gonna be a long, sad 4 years. The TV was off all day at my house today - I just can't
One thing to me that shows a real leader is the ability to show restraint and use diplomacy when they want to speak their mind vs just speaking their own mind with no regard to how what they say will affect everybody else
I love liberal tears!😂😂😂
@Michelle-j4k Such a grownup response. This is all just a joke to people like you which proves my point that you're not serious and only support this man for the entertainment value. Funny you speak of tears when you all, and your leader have been crying for 4 years about a steal that never happened.
What did he do the first time that was a mess ?
Every bloody thing is so dramatic, like every American factual programme. It's irritating to me.
Then don't watch American factual programs....quite simple solution really.
Trump is finally back in office!! This country will finally begin to heal itself!! ❤❤
Yes bring back racism and reject science!!!!
The woke Marxists are freaking out and having their melt downs! It'll be wonderful to see them frothing at the mouth for the next 12 years (4 Trump/8 Vance)!!!
You’re joking, right?
I notice how conservative comments seem to disappear...
@@RogCBrand Perhaps because they’re ridiculously inflammatory? Why don’t you just be honest and say your comments seem to disappear? How would you know others’ aren’t posted?
VP LIVES AT "BLAIR HOUSE" NICE HOME.
Blair House is the Diplomatic Guest House of the US Government, where visiting heads of state and government stay in DC. The Vice President lives at the former residence of the superintendent of the Naval Observatory, which later became the residence of the Chief of Naval Operations (called Admiral's House) before becoming the official residence of the VP in 1977.
The POTUS is more akin to King of England
The official Title is
The Honorable, His Excellency,
Head of state Head of government Commander-in-chief. President Donald Trump.
