I hate how some games make 200km/h look like a walk in the park, while others make 90km/h look like you're about to break the sound barrier.
Not related to this project.
It has to do with dynamic FOV and camera shake mainly. Wider FOV = Faster sense of speed
It lost its touch for most modern games for sure
That's why Prostreet is the best game imo at projecting speed
When you hit 300 at Nevada, you actually feels that you're gonna die
There's a video explaining that. Basically if the game is closer to arcade, the sense of speed is greater because the player most likely only playing with a gamepad, and thus the only way to get immersed is by visual sense of speed (wider FOV, aggressive motion blur etc). If the game is closer to simulation, the player more likely use a steering wheel rig and they already immersed by the force feedback, so no need to 'fake' the immersion visually (narrower FOV for more accurate distance judgement, less motion blur etc). ua-cam.com/video/Smjc9cRPGP4/v-deo.html

Personally, Assetto Corsa feels quite fast, even with proper FOV (~55 for my laptop) and playing with a controller. (Not to mention, I play at 720p to get consistent 60 FPS)
It may be because I turned up the camera g-force effect.
...Point being, you really don't need a super-high FOV to create a good sense of speed. In fact, an improperly high FOV makes braking feel sluggish.

Which type of physics? There are grip, drift and speed challenge physics and they are way different.

@@DrHundTF2 I am most definitely gonna disrespect somebody doing a 2JZ swap 1972 Ferrari Dino and putting a giant ricer spoiler on it and adding 24 inch chrome spinners on it. Oddly specific, but some cars you just don't mod. Doesn't matter if it's a video game though, do what you want lol.

I love this mod but I have a problem, I don't see them crashing lol. I have done so many races but I never seem them doing that.
I used the No Air Stabilizer by Speedy but I don't recommend it, your car would always fly and rolled on the big jumps
@@FR3XLNo worries man. I personally tried a crazy traffic mod which makes random traffic vehicles come straight at you or opponents, I see them being flung into the air on impace including myslef lol.
