I really liked hearing this actually. The part in the beginning about learning champs in particular. I can relate as I came to the game late as someone who's used to being very good at games, and league was an awesome hard check on that. There is no option to reflex your way out of it, or have irl equivalent experience, there's just a cavernous game knowledge gap that needs to be closed before anything else matters. My solution was to get into ARAMs for what it's worth. Playing vs bots in an actually useful tutorial would have been better, I was shocked by how utterly crap the actual tutorial is in game.
erhh. Bot games are so boring yet dont show you anything whatsoever. Only worth if you are going through some niche thing (e.g. Taric jgl, old syndra stun) while getting some specific event missions. Play ARAM while reading up on a champ -> definitely. But also only after you have some basic ideas in SR. Otherwise, ARAM will throw off your sense of distance in League while you are forming it.
@@ecpgieicg the zoom always gets me when going between aram and SR it's a pain. But yeah ARAM is really good for the micro aspect and teamfighting. Also finding new champs you want to play.
When I started playing in Season 2, my goal was to play each champion atleast once. Me and my brother checked the new free champion rotation every monday evening (or tuesday morning, its the same time as new skin sales btw) to see whats free we havent played already. I invite anyone to really try this, because playing a champion for 1 game will fixate that information in your head so much easier than reading up on it and watching videos or whatnot. Ofcourse there's almost double amount of champions that was in the game back then, but thats even more reason to do it.
@@WelsyCZ You can also register for PBE. You get free blue essence and RP there to try both champs and skins. (You won't progress with your main accounts. But for just trying things once, PBE is perfect.)
@@ecpgieicg yeah i agree on the current state. I actually tried to run a bot game a while ago learning a new champ, even 3v5 not chasing kills it was boring and too easy. I really think riot is just leaving meat on the bone there. A single player campaign would be the right way to do a truly informative tutorial, and it would bring new players in. An arena mode for dicking around with champs for the rest of us wouldn't hurt either.
ill be honest, the way i learned what chamsp do, was just spamming tf out of aram XDD i learned soooo much about champs playing aram and jsut getting on random champs. cause sometimes it might be hard to tell what champs do just playing against them. like varus, you can see, oh he has a ground thing a root and a long range arrow, but whats his 4th ability, and why does he sometimes hit way harder.
That’s kinda how it was in the beginning for me too. I started right at the end of Season 3 while in college, and all of my experienced friends were mid/upper silverish. Not great, but obviously a mile ahead of me and our other slightly less new friend. We had a campus League event every weekend where people could play and get pointers, so I picked up stuff pretty quick. I also had a lot of knowledge going in ahead of time anyway. My solo games were a good break from struggling against gold and play players as a level 15.
This guy is a pretty fast learner. He's already playing unlocked cam, leveling up with keys, and he is hitting his skillshots. I'm sure he'll be a solid player a few months down the line.
@@FknJahEh, for people who play a lot of games that involve similar concepts, sure. Not for people who are basically new to gaming or people who have only played games that are completely different to the point unlocked cam isn't even a concept for example.
Don't think he's going to get into detail on jungle farming, but noc had only taken top jng, so if he just goes scuttle back to gank that's a hit to his tempo. Not a likely kill and great for pressure.
I think maining one champion is the best beginners strategy however i dont think itll help you understand every champion like utilizing free champion rotation. I think knowing the fundamentals for every champion on a basic level will help you with whatever champion you wanna main. I think not knowing something can really hurt you in this game. Take these two examples. People thought ksante was bad at first, it took some time to figure out how how to make him do dmg and carry games all the while other people had to figure out how to best avoid his engages (easy if youve played). Many people dont know how good Rell really is, i main her top and champions who have shields will get punished for having that in their kit like mord and sett. (No runes) At max level Rell’s E gives 10A-7MR alone. With a full realistic build you can give up to 44A-23MR. With Solari, and conditioning its 58A-38MR. 46A-25MR with sunfire/conditioning. If you are versus multiple tanks, your passive is to steal 10% A/MR, 10% of that goes to your binded ally so lets say 3 250A/MR tanks = 750/10=75/10 = 7.5(rounded up). I really like how versatile Rells itemization is and she is always useful in my opinion. In games where im losing top in a stomp, i just get a relic shield and submit. No big deal. People hate it, but my gold climbs higher and higher. Pair this with a support Orianna; Shurelya’s, Redemption, Ardent, Staff of FW, ChemPutrifier, Mikaels, you can have decent shields but constantly speed boosting one person with E&W while increasing their A/MR by 30, AP by 25 Haste by 20 and atkspd by 30%. There are some other buffs and debuffs from this build that helps a lot for any carry. Just imagine one person on your team getting a free 100A/70MR just for existing while going full DMG. This has the potential to break the game if used on someone like BelVeth, Gwen, Kalista, Diana.. theres literally so many more than that. Iknow you cant play two players at on e unless youre thst lucian who plays yuumi with his feet in plat i think.. but like i think this games far more complex than just Ahri.
Not looking to be nasty at all, everyone starts somewhere. Just crazy to see how much of a lack of fundamentals there is sometimes like using movement abilities to lane and not using summoner spells almost at all without prompt. All the best to this guy with his climb, gl buddy all the best.
I try to keep that mentality, but it really depends on who kills me and how. A good Irelia dodging stuff and shredding me? That’s cool as hell. MF pressed R? Meh.
@fatmcgee509 when you don't have stopwatch, zhonyas, guardians angel, flash, or a mobile champ with a dash, jump, teleport or some other evade, you dont know if she has ult, or you forgot not to walk in front of her then yeah MF pressing R is tilting
